ASU came out okay, definitely better than I expected. Still though, the Sun Devils should only have a gold helmet and should only have Sparky. To me personally, they'll never look as good as they should until they figure that out.

So, wait, is the pitchfork black on all of the helmets?

Looks maroon on the gold lid. But the rest look black

Ugh, that's a turn off. I didn't notice that

Seriously, I wouldn't read too much into the promo shots when it comes to the helmets. I've seen several promo shots/mannequins/advertisements where they're using the wrong color pitchfork on the helmet. Also, ASU tries to make the decals pretty interchangeable from game to game anyway. By week one, when they'll be wearing G/M/G (like they always do in week 1), it'll be the right combination and they'll have the decals all sorted out for the year.

Adidas got ASU mostly right because they basically kept everything the same, save for a couple changes that improved on the previous Nike design. Things I'm not sold on are the pants logos, helmets, and overly shiny, plastic-looking details.

Oregon may be ditching the helmet wings on either some or all of their helmets, based on this photo from their Instagram account and those close to the program. In the photo, the black helmet now looks to be matte black with no chrome wings. Not sure I like them using multiple helmet designs since it'd look a little incohesive.

I can slightly see what looks to be black wing decals on the side of the helmet. Maybe.

That's what I see as well.

I thought I saw the same thing, but it looks like the ends of the chinstrap (& shadow).

Isn't this almost identical to what they were wearing with Nike? It looks nice, but it doesn't look like they changed a whole bunch. Considering what Adidas has been putting out, maybe that is a good thing.

Yup, and that's exactly what I love about it. What ASU had was just fine (Minus a few tweaks, which Adidas made).

Arizona State looks good. I'm just interested in seeing what Michigan looks like

Harbaugh said no alternates. I'd expect last year's home and aways and that's it. So no shockweb creep for TTUN, most likely.

Why is adidas' treatment of graphics considered cheap looking, when Nike's golden son, Oregon, have chrome treatments on their jerseys too... are those not "cheap" ?

Because now does it to one school with a modern and flashy identity, so the chrome - while still looking bad - fits the identity. Adidas does it across the board despite what the history of the program, so it looks cheap on teams like UCLA
