BRice16
This is just a t-shirt for Oregon, but is this their new jersey design? (Don't know if it's been posted already)http://www.fanatics.com/COLLEGE_Oregon_Ducks/Oregon_Ducks_Nike_New_Day_No._21_Performance_T-Shirt_-_BlackA source just told me that these t-shirts are designs to be worn this season by nine different Nike schools. I very seriously doubt that Alabama, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas and Ohio State will trot out black jerseys. A series of shirts, maybe. T-shirt versions of real jerseys? Doubtful, especially considering the schools involved. Simply reporting what I was told by someone who I trust and has tipped me off to a number of Nike-related uniform breaks in the past. Of the nine, only two are truly surprising to me: Alabama and Texas, the latter only because their head coach said they wouldn't wear alternates earlier in the week.T-shirt designs, not jersey designs, from what I was told this evening. djam2410
weird that the official scholarship offer from UNC includes the regular nike lace and not what is actually on the new jersey Cal Bears | Miami Dolphins | Cleveland Cavaliers |@dcjames5
pianoknight
What Adidas has done with Nebraska's alternates is embarrassing. While Nebraska may have been mostly irrelevant for the past decade plus, they are still one of the ten most storied programs in the sport. You'd think Adidas would use them as platform to showcase their best creative work. Instead, they keep everything basically as is and randomly mix and match lazy generic fonts with the latest fads (black, matte, chrome, etc.) and crap them out.I'm not opposed to using black or matte or whatever for one game if you make something unique and memorable out of it. At least start with something different and work from there.Do people actually like that logo in Nebraska? Not a fan, personally. GeauxColonels
If these are t-shirt designs, then I don't care. Nike always does these bfbs shirts. I rarely seen them being worn at games.
MJWalker45
If LSU runs out the tunnel into Death Valley in these, the fans will turn on them and riot:http://images.footballfanatics.com/FFImage/thumb.aspx?i=%2fproductImages%2f_2103000%2fff_2103740_xl.jpg&w=400Pregame tshirts? I remember adidas trying that with their teams in the NFL before the Reebok contract.

Or they felt the white background shows that pattern better.
lahaye7
Maybe some foreshadowing with the shirts. They just parroted what Andrew said and concluded that it meant alternate jerseys. It may be correct, but they haven't provided any extra information since their main source is our main source. I've got a dribbble, check it out if you like my stuff; alternatively, if you hate my stuff, send it to your enemies to punish their insolence! sportzfan
I'm sure they will "wear" them but you will never see them because they are just undershirts, you will only see the sleeve designs that come out from under the pads nothing more. Nike is too smart to give all their major teams just a black alternate and call it a day.
MJWalker45
I could see Nike doing it, just not to the extent shown. Especially when they know Alabama, LSU and Oklahoma would riot. Charlie Strong has nixed uniforms with a little bit of gold in them, I can't see him signing off on black alts for Texas. That's why they have the practice jerseys. Most of the other teams with the rumored alts do not have black on any part of the normal home and away uniform. It kind of makes sense for the Buckeyes but doesn't make sense for the rest.Don't try to justify this. Oregon, FSU (both currently have some in their sets), and Georgia have worn black jerseys at some point, so while it might not look good, there's some history. All the other schools haven't worn black at any point of their histories, so it breaks tradition, something that apparently Ohio State holds in high regard. The other teams might not even wear it, because they know the fans would riot. Only OSU has even hinted, more like acknowledged the fact that they will wear black, so it seems like it's counterintuitive for them to jump on a trend that faded out 5 years ago, even if they use black in trace amounts.
