Most of the other teams with the rumored alts do not have black on any part of the normal home and away uniform. It kind of makes sense for the Buckeyes but doesn't make sense for the rest.Don't try to justify this. Oregon, FSU (both currently have some in their sets), and Georgia have worn black jerseys at some point, so while it might not look good, there's some history. All the other schools haven't worn black at any point of their histories, so it breaks tradition, something that apparently Ohio State holds in high regard. The other teams might not even wear it, because they know the fans would riot. Only OSU has even hinted, more like acknowledged the fact that they will wear black, so it seems like it's counterintuitive for them to jump on a trend that faded out 5 years ago, even if they use black in trace amounts.First, I said most. 5 out of the 9 uniforms don't have any black whatsoever in their logos or uniforms.Oregon, Florida state, and Georgia already have/had black alts. It doesn't look out of place on those or what could be Ohio States black Alt. Im absolutey posotive that most Buckeye fans would not riot at the sight of a black uniform mainly because of how prevalent (even if it is just a little bit) it already is. My main point is that it can be justified for Ohio state because of all the black the already use in athletics. They are kind of like Georgia in the regard. Albeit they didn't use the same design as the primaries, but the color still stands. Why should Ohio State be the "special snowflake" when they've worn practically the same uniform for as long as, maybe even longer than UCLA has?And I'm pretty sure some OSU fans would be mad if the team comes out in something other than the Scarlet and Gray they are known for. There have been rumors of a black jerseys being used as far back as 1994. There were even rumors Champion wanted the Buckeyes to wear black pants vs TTUN. The only alternates that the Buckeyes should use vs Penn State are the National Championship jerseys if any at all. If they want to wear black jerseys do it against one of the MAC schools.
