Old School Fool
I'm really surprised at the negative reaction to the Oregon uniform. I think it's really cool. I think alot of stuff in College Football is cool and unique. You get some weird stuff out of CFB but I welcome the creativity.
FiddySicks
Notre Dame and Navy need to get a room"..Featuring each university's Alma mater.."Now what the hell's that supposed to mean.Under armor, you dolts. Alma mater also means school song. Its a song separate from the fight song that schools usually sing to say how great a university is. But yes it does sound weird when you use the literal meaning of alma materFight song = Sporting events songAlma Mater = Academic events songAt least that's how I've always understood it. I don't see the hate for it either. But I think I understand that people feel Oregon is reaching for some way to tie themselves into a historic event that doesn't directly involve the school. WSU151
Oregon is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. Here are some other ideas for contrived themes based loosely on state history.-A wood-grain jersey in honor of the Spruce Goose being housed in McMinnville, OR at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum. Geese are kinda like Ducks. -A ghost theme. Oregon has more ghost towns than any other state.-A Cupid & Hearts theme. Oregon's statehood anniversary is on February 14th. Besides, everyone wears "I LOVE MY DUCKS" shirts around town.-Bicycle wheels on the helmet. Oregon is one of the most bike-friendly states and Eugene, especially so. Oregon is fast. Wheels are faster.-A deep blue set, in honor of Crater Lake; the deepest (and one of the bluest) lakes in America. Blue plus Yellow equals Green, after all. It's practically a Second Cousin School Color.-A sea lion theme. Oregon is home to one of the largest sea caves in the world and it's filled to the gills with sea lions, which are aquatic animals who can also go on land! What a coincidence! -Cheese head theme a la Green Bay Packers. Tillamook is home to the largest cheese factory in the state and one of the bigger ones in the nation. Nothing goes better with duck confit than some light brie or maybe a smoky havarti. And finally:-A Beaver theme. Oregon's state animal is the beaver.I think another state school already has this locked up. Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half. MellowTheMyth
I guess we can all agree that Nike's run out of ideas for Oregon. I'd just put the O on both sides of the helmet, replace the black with green and I think it would look better.

Midway
Oh Nike didn't run out of ideas. This is just another one to add to the giant list of questionable calls they run with just because they can.

_RH_
Take Puddles off that helmet and you'd have a really cool logo for a team called the Pioneers/Explorers/etc.
Midway
On the other hand, I still get a kick out of mouthbreathers who say things like "maybe they should be worrying about the game instead of their uniforms." I wasn't aware that players and coaches spend considerable amounts of time each week picking out their best weekend outfit.

I wasn't aware that players and coaches spend considerable amounts of time each week picking out their best weekend outfit. Those are the type of people you just have to shake your head at because of how dumb that statement is. I'm sure they had no problem with how Oregon dressed when they were winning big but now that they're struggling a bit, they seem to think they all of a sudden started paying more attention to uniforms than on-the-field stuff. CLEstones
CU's uniform combination for this week.Is the outline of the number different colors? Looks like the left side is gold and the right side is gray. Or is this a new Nike innovation with different color fabric?

JPDesign
You're gonna have to deal with commentary on a message board like this. It's not all supposed to be informational. It's purpose is to discuss the new uniforms. If you want something purely informational, go read Uni Watch...on second thought, never mind.
