mbannon92
Thoughts on the new Volunteer football uniforms:Would have liked to see the solid stripe to checker be carried to the collar. Mirror it from the pants. The number font seems to be recycled. I think I saw it in a Conrad font pack. It should match the style of the wordmark.Needs to have TV numbers. I hate this current trend of no TV number. Inexcusable. It doesn't look like a uniform without them.Overall, its a solid update. Just like everything Nike does... a few minor tweaks here or there, and the uniforms could be spectacular. Its almost like they have different people designing pants, then the shirts, then the helmets. Its weird. They do. Take a closer look at the promo photos. Also, the number font isn't recycled and it was designed similarly to the wordmark. Check out the 4. andycumbee19
Only thing Id change about the Vols new set is the striping. They're known historically for double pants stripes. Just use the same pattern, just with 2 stripes.Basically this but inverted. The double striping on the pants always bothered me with the single helmet stripe. I think this gives them consistency throughout the design. In this case, single stripe >>>> double stripe IMO.I see the reasoning behind this, but Alabama doesn't need to add a 2nd stripe on their helmet to match their pants. It looks good as is. On the flip side, I wish the Colts had the double stripes on their helmets. This is probably because the Colts use double stripes more and therefore look silly with just a single stripe up top. I was going to say the same thing. Its R-W-R. As for Alabama's lack of TV numbers on the jersey... to me, it still looks great... but it would look just THAT much better with TV numbers. It would make them nearly identical to Oklahoma, sans the word mark, but I just think it looks so much more like a football uniform with TV numbers. LEWJ
I loooove the Tennessee rebrand. Men's basketball looks good (could've gone without the dark outlines on the white jersey though.)Women's basketball looks okay, not a fan of the light blue in only the logo (and use of inconsistent "at-logo" still.Football looks perfect. conner62
I'm quite confused by this image.May be wrong but I believe it is a shot to show that the shades of orange are consistent. Tennessee always has had trouble with that because the shade is so light, it looks different on different materials. That was a primary focus of Nike. FiddySicks
New ASU practice jerseys. Nothing too different from previous seasons other than the Adidas logo. Here's a shot of the new baseball cleats too, which I REALLY like. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.)
