Sports League Logos - Texturized

Texturized is the only word I can think to use for this.

In jordyhazy's NBA Urban thread, he used photos from the cities in the backgrounds for the logos.

I took this idea, and used it for the 4 major league logos (NHL, NBA, MLB, and NHL) but instead of photos of cities, I used different photos of elements from the sports, or textures, to replace the colors of the logo.

I thought I already posted a comment here, but it seems as though that didn't process.

Just wanted to say neat idea, it looks fantastic, the first NFL and NHL versions look better than the second versions, and I would like to request you doing a soccer one maybe FIFA, or any other one that suits you. I know this isn't a very big soccer community, but it would be greatly appreciated if you do, at least, one.

Keep them coming these looking amazing.

These are pretty cool.

Couple things, though:

  • I agree with Biscuits. Making the NFL text gold like the official ball would be a nice touch.
  • The first iteration of NHL looked better. You don't need the extra texture.

Can't wait to see the USA Table Tennis logo. Can that be my request?

Very cool. Could you try switching the NFL one? So that the football is the shield and grass is 'NFL'? Just would like to see that switch.

Is this the one you want?

I'll try to get to some other requests as well, like NASCAR and NCAA Water Polo.

I actually like the different grasses. Few, if any, baseball stadiums are devoid of some sort of pattern and/or design in the outfield grass. The different grasses also lend a little more flavor to the respective sport. Otherwise, it's just grass. That's just my take, though.

I get what you mean but the pattern on baseball fields aren't vertical like that. Right now it looks more like a football field pattern (ex. Nebraska's field).
