I mean, we as mods/admins could close or ban it, but we're pretty clear on the one account per person policy in the official board guidelines, meaning if you try to rejoin, you'll likely get banhammered [emphasis mine]: Quote 5. It’s recently gone to having both a top and a bottom banner ad. As I type this right now in phone, there is quite a large ad above the keyboard. Pressing the “x” on it replaced it with a different ad and then pressing “x” on that replaced it with a top banner ad. At least I haven’t had that ad for that Amazon Prime show (that would freeze the site until it had a chance to do it’s full animation of making a border around the whole screen of my phone) any time recently. And while I understand the purpose of the ban, having been on the boards for many years and seeing how people have difficulty removing emotion from discussions, perhaps until it involves the actual logo, still have bots post the news about one specific NFC East team (that as of this moment no longer has a nickname) into an all-encompassing locker thread so we can at least follow up on the news until a proper discussion can take place? I browse hundreds of sites, and only have the ridiculous ad hijack issues, virus warnings, ads that consume the border and bottom of the page, and the nonsense I have today on this site. Chris sold his soul to the devil with these ads. The one on the side doesn't bother me, but occasionally I'll accidentally click on the bottom one when it pops up. To the point where it’s damn near in your face the entire time (at least on mobile). The “bounce” thing happens way more than it should and can be irritating at times. Especially when you’re trying to read something and it sporadically shoots you up 5 comments above. I agree with @BringBackTheVet when it comes to potentially paying a membership fees just to get the ads out of the way.
