Is there a Mets fan on these boards?

NJTank, but it's difficult to tell since he rarely speaks positive of them.

Perhaps things will change between now and the Mets' impending September collapse.

The Mets have made some big moves lately they always had good pitching but now they have some real hitters and John Mayberry is gone. However, just two weeks ago against Kershaw Mayberry was batting clean up despite an average of .160

Didn't he pick the Mets to win the World Series like 5 years in a row?

No clue. I stopped reading after his sports e-cyclopedia went political.

This has been uncalled for the Mets to been this good.

Let's just hope the don't falter like they did in 09.

Trust me,I think they have the potential to win the east.

Since Subway Series 00,the Mets have been Tanking (pun intended) and this could get them back into a winning francise.

Um... 2006.

Um...2007.

In 2006 the Mets were the best team in the NL and got tripped up by the worst World Series winner ever. 2007 was when they blew the big lead to the Phillies who were then swept by Colorado.

They also blew a 3.5 game September lead over the Phillies in 2008 and then derped themselves out of the wild card with a 3-6 finish. That was their last winning season (until this year hopefully!).

To be fair cubsfan2015 was probably 4 in 2008.

A. Cycles are a fluke, just as impressive as a 2 home run game.

B. Adrian Beltre is not a hall of famer.

C. Adrian Beltre is especially not a first-ballot hall of famer.

Nice to see the Giants channel their inner Sharks tonight :(

I was at that game donning a Cubs hat, monitoring the out-of-town scoreboard, and vehemently rooting against the Giants. It was incredible.

And with that breathtaking Braves win and the Cubs-Pirates rainout, the Cubs have leapfrogged San Fran for WC2 once again. Nonetheless, this week is going to be a serious gut check for this Cubs team; I'm looking forward to the remaining games in Pittsburgh and especially the series with the Giants.

I just want another "Subway Series".

Sure... you want a Cubs-White Sox World Series, right? ^_^

I would,but I know 1906 won't happen ever again.

Uggh. The Giants looked like crap last night. It's really rare that they blow a lead like that, but that one was painful. :censored: AJ Pierzynski.

This month is pretty much going to show if the Giants sink or swim. They're on a pretty brutal road trip right now and play teams who are above .500 pretty much the entire month. If they struggle, they're done. The NL is too competitive this season to afford a slip up.

So far, August isn't getting off to a very good start.
