SabresRule7361 553 Posted October 10, 2015 Boy, with the Giants and Red Sox out of the way.... I feel like it's St. Louis' title to lose.
2001mark 1,204 Posted October 10, 2015 I pity anyone who thinks the Jays might be dead & buried. Bob Costas doing baseball is bizarre. Why/how did he get such an assignment? It seems the least glamorous for American audiences & yet there he is.

In fact, if I remember correctly, he called the '97 World Series with Joe Morgan (I think).
FiddySicks 11,175 Posted October 10, 2015 Bob Costas should've retired decades ago. What a huge waste of space that guy is. This is setting up to be one big ol disappointment of a first round. KC stormed back (they're cool but they were JUST there) Texas is cruising (been there before and will only be a sacrificial lamb to whoever comes out of the NL. Or worse, their boring asses win it all), and the Cardinals are still The Greatest Monsters In History. I actually kinda love it! Baseball is weird.
Dynasty 2,410 Posted October 10, 2015 Man, deGrom is absolutely incredible. If Harvey is somehow not in their future, they'll still have an ace.

FinsUp1214 5,663 Posted October 10, 2015 Man, deGrom is absolutely incredible. If Harvey is somehow not in their future, they'll still have an ace.And I feel Syndergaard still has enormous potential, as well. The Mets look scary as far as pitching is concerned for quite a while, with or without Harvey.
SabresRule7361 553 Posted October 10, 2015 David Wright... man, what a hit. Even when the Mets started their surge in early August, I didn't think he might play again this year.
vicfurth 376 Posted October 10, 2015 Lol not sure I understand the Rangers hate but it's cool. I'll take it. If it comes to the Series, I'd rather see Cubbies and Rangers because good God I despise the Cardinals.
the admiral 28,715 Posted October 10, 2015 Lol not sure I understand the Rangers hate but it's cool. I'll take it. There's just something empty about the Rangers to me. They've been around a long time and they've done a little stuff and now all of a sudden they get infinity million dollars in TV money from FSN and have a constant pipeline of awesome prospects with ridiculous names (Roughed Odor?). They're kind of the nouveau-riche McMansion trash of baseball.
FinsUp1214 5,663 Posted October 10, 2015 I guess little obscurities like that could warrant it if those kinds of things bother someone (though they don't really bother me at all in the slightest), but any hate from them simply being a consistent contender in the last five years isn't as warranted if that is the case. I mean, they haven't really won yet. I don't recall anyone hating the Bills or the Jazz in the 90's just for simply "getting there" a lot. It just kinda seems strange to me. If anything, I pity teams like that. Might be my background as a Jazz fan and knowing what that feels like, but that's how I see it.
the admiral 28,715 Posted October 10, 2015 Well, let's be real, a non-Mark-Cuban-owned Dallas team is going to be inherently terrible, it's just a matter of how you work backward from that conclusion.
Sport 13,992 Posted October 10, 2015 I hate the Rangers for blowing 2 separate two out, two strike, two run leads in game 6 of the 2011 world series. How do you even do that?
the admiral 28,715 Posted October 10, 2015 I think it involves Tony La Russa threatening to hit you with a bat.
KittSmith_95 1,211 Posted October 10, 2015 With the Jays looking down, may I cheer on the Stros?Or perhaps... in the NL, the Mets?
kevsim1 195 Posted October 10, 2015 This is good for the Cubbies. Wrap this one up, put faith in Arrieta for game 3, and you have 2 tries, one at home, to wrap it up.So naturally the Cardinals are gonna get the sweep

Fishplatter 9 Posted October 11, 2015 Poor Don Mattingly. If the Dodgers get swept Monday night, that is it for him. I think the Dodgers should hire McClendon or even Giants bench coach Ron Wotus.
