Dynasty
This World Series was pretty underwhelming. Regardless, I'm happy to see the Royals snap that 30-year long drought.

sportstar1212
Damn, have some faith in your team Mets fans! Lot of empty seats. Royals scored five runs its overIt's not even that, you're about to see the goddamn World Series be won! Sure, it's not your team, but unless you're Marlins Man, this is probably the only chance you'll ever get to see it live. People are dumb.

FiddySicks
Helluva show by the Royals. They deserved this one after that heartbreak last season. Enjoy it, Royals fans! dfwabel
I feel a bit melancholy over this. After grad school, my first job had a boss who was from KC and Royals fan. He passed away last March at 59 and didn't even see last year's run.

NJTank
This sucksIt was a great year for the Mets, they just need to learn and get better. Love our future, cant beat a team that has five great starting pitchers now if we can field the ball and not face a team that is a mosquito with the foul off and two strike hits. Never seen a team like these Royals individually they are a .500 team, but they just did everything right and deserved it.rickyISking EZSTreetI will copy the email I just sent to Rush LimbaughIm very depressed Rush but I am happy for you. waltere
Mets led in the 8th inning or later in 4 out of 5 games, yet lost 3 of them - story of the series right there.-----Congrats to the Royals though; it sucks to be on the wrong end of it, but they're a hell of a good team and I really, really like the way they play baseball. 1 hour ago, BringBackTheVet said: sorry sweetie, but I don't suck minor-league d CCSLC Post of the day September 3rd 2012
Sport
I just saw the Kansas City Royals win the World Series. For years they were for me the embodiment of irrelevant small-market pro sports franchise that would never be competitive. They were just in the league to fill out the schedule and sure they had some good years in the 70's and 80's, but that was 1,000 years ago and the product of a different era. As far as I was concerned there was no need to be concerned with the Kansas City Royals. This is basically the equivalent of the Florida Panthers winning the Stanley Cup. I guess my point is anybody can win it all. There are no excuses anymore. and good grief tank. Turn the audio off if he bothers you that much. Your team was in the world series and 90% of your posts in this thread are about Joe Buck. I think you secretly enjoy complaining about him.
