As for the other Sox, Robin Ventura should be on the chopping block because the team continues to :censored: up constantly and nobody seems to care all that much, but he used to play for the team, so it's his job until he decides to quit. pmoehrin Posted June 16, 2015 Share Posted June 16, 2015 I know people keep talking about Farrell being the next to go, but if there was ever a scapegoat firing that would be it.The fact they're dead last in pitching shouldn't be an indictment against him, it should be against the front office who let their best starter Jon Lester walk out the door and did almost nothing to upgrade a staff that wasn't that good last year even with Jon Lester.They had the dollars to improve that staff as well but instead choose to use it on Pablo Sandoval and Hanley Ramirez.The team banked on the idea that Ferrell would be able to get at least something out of that rotation and they lost that gamble. But if John Farrell couldn't get anything out of that staff I would love to know who would because that's the best pitching coach in the majors hands down.There's a lot of things wrong with the Red Sox right now, but firing John Ferrell isn't going to fix those issues.
