Put me on record in favour of 154 game schedule, as per MLB chatter.

There have still been more 154 seasons than 162, we don't care about numbers as much following the steroid era, & finishing the WS before November would be most welcome.

I'm in favour of getting rid of about 20 games, namely the interleague ones.

Terrible to see a player with such incredible potential mostly wasted because of drugs. I can't even imagine what his career would've looked like had he stayed clean or never started in the first place.

Looks like Josh Hamilton is back on the pipe or needle or whatever.

Its sad because this is someone who should be putting the finishing touches on a Hall of Fame career.

Instead we could be looking at the end of what in my opinion has been one of the biggest underachievers in Major League history. Solid numbers no doubt, but this is someone that should be seen in the same light as guys like Aaron, Mays and Mantle, not the modern day Darryl Strawberry.

We'll find out what it is, but Rosenthal has already all but said its drug related.

There's talk that the Sox might move Panda to 1st when Moncada is ready and play Moncada at 3B.

I guess they would have to wait for David Ortiz to retire to do that, then move Mike Napoli to DH to make room for Sandoval.

Napoli is a free agent after 2015. They can let him walk, move Panda to 1st and put Moncada at 3rd.

Or they could put Moncada on SS, keep Panda at 3rd and move Boagerts to another team.

Huge mistake Josh Hamiliton signing in Anaheim. Texas was good for him he had protection there he was loved there. In Anaheim he has a big contract he cant live up to and is seen as the Halos Bobby Bonilla, now this. It may be good for all sides if he is cut and can go somewhere maybe back to Texas and start over.

Word on the street is that Hamilton relapsed on coke.

Not to be insensitive, but can the Angels void his contract? He's been a complete waste.

That may be what they are discussing right now.

Its at Manfred's discretion what his punishment will be. That's the deal he signed to be reinstated.

He apparently admitted to it, so there may not necessarily even be a positive test, but there could also be something else he did test positive for and he's just coming clean about everything in order to get a lighter suspension.

As far as Tank's comment, its not fair to compare him to Bobby Bonilla for a variety of reasons, chief among them being Bonilla was far more productive with the Mets then Hamilton has ever been with the Angels. Overpaid perhaps, but he was hitting .325 the day the Mets dealt him to Baltimore.

Hamilton was in the starting lineup year almost solely due to his contract. He was basically a .260 singles hitter.

Bobby Bonilla also had willing takers after he left New York. I'm not so sure if Hamilton will at this point. He'll be 34 in a couple months, coming off two bad season and one of if not the worst clubhouse presence in baseball. I don't know how many if any teams would be lining up to bring in Josh Hamilton. Your outfield situation would have to be in dire straits to even think about signing him.

Jon Daniels shot that down both in December 2014 and also in January.

So new Blue Jays LF Michael Saunders is out until the All-Star break with a torn meniscus.

I can just tell this is going to be another injury year.

EDIT: They've also just signed Johan Santana.

Alex said it was a field they were never going to use anyway.

Now I feel better?! I mean not even Brenden Morrow could've accomplished that feat if he tried.

Sad to hear about another injury for Michael Saunders. I wasn't the biggest fan of the trade that sent him to the Jays for J.A Happ but after hearing the news of another injury I'm thinking cutting ties was a pretty good move. Sadly I can see Saunders going down in history as another what could've been. Too many recent leg injuries but a potentially great talent. He's probably not the biggest name nationally but after watching him every game for the last few seasons he definitely has upside so stay positive Toronto and hope your trainers are limbered up.

Good news (for once): Saunders is out until only mid-April, which is a HUGE plus.

Great news for the Jays... not great news for Saunders lols.

Dr.'s say his injury was worse than expected, which instead of repairing it over a longer period, they'll just be removing stuff from his knee instead. Thus causing a quicker rebound to play baseball, yet making his knee a whole lot worse when he's older?

Sexy times everyone. Sexy times.
