Hand-Drawn Soccer Drawings: Alton Federation of Soccer

I like the detail in the crest and the color scheme, but again, a minor nitpick- on the home kit, the vertical strip seems extremely busy with the manufacturer, crest and sponsor all stacked-up on each other. That being said I like how the C2 sponsors meets at the divide between the scarlet and green. It's another very nice look overall.

The crest and color scheme are very much patriotically-inspired! The stacking of everything on the home kit is actually intentional, following the style of Philadelphia Union kits. I should've probably made the C2 a bit thicker, but glad you still liked it, regardless!

looks amazing! Love the logo, and I love what you did with te uniforms! As for the team from Shelton, maybe do something with colors like sand, and maybe a darker orange color to represent stones in the desert, with Shelton Architecture as the sponsor. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Glad you liked Astor, my friend!

As for Shelton, I'm considering some kinda teal-and-orange color scheme or something like that. Shelton Architecture is definitely gonna be the sponsor, with a redesigned logo from what you sent to me a while back. Stay tuned and thanks for the suggestions! :)

Today's Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriage gave me this idea, and so did 1clkgtramg's Tamarian state of Mitchoia. Ospey is the capital of the State of Collinne, famous for being the first Alton state to legalize same-sex marriage, lending the state its nickname, "The Equality State". As for OSC's crest, it's a very simple, green blue/white, New York Rangers-style crest, with a square of it containing the rainbow flag.

The home kit is a green blue jersey with a white band on it, with the rainbow flag on the left side of the band. The clash kit is a bit more bold, with a rainbow in the middle; it's green blue bands in the middle with the rainbow flag on the sides. On the waistband are two green blue bands forming an equal sign, representing "The Equality State". There are official replica versions of these jerseys that do not have the rainbow flag, but those with the rainbow flag are vastly more popular. The kits are by New Balance while Pixatope, a local animation company, is the sponsor (another shoutout to 1clkgtramg).

~ Daryl

EDIT 6/26: Fixed the rainbow flag on the crest, as the yellow and orange were accidentally flipped; observation by Veras.

Ignoring the backstory... The small rainbow patch on the kit and crest goes very well with the teal, it is one of the great concepts of league III. Kind of reminds me of VfL Bochum's rainbow kits in the nineties.

only 10 more teams....:down: ...you're too good to stop. Are you going to make another league?

I certainly am making another soccer league after this; my only hint is that it's a soccer league for a real-world American state. Stay tuned! :)

It's hard to tell because of the size, but are orange and yellow flipped in the crest?

Oh shoot, you're right. I have an edited version of the rainbow flag on the crest in my post. Nice eye!

I wanted a very subtle tribute to the state's nickname on the kits, and the very small rainbow patch was the way to go. I was considering going with brown instead of teal, but the teal looked so much better.

(And oh boy, those Bochum rainbow kits were super 90s!)

great work (as usual)

I just feel that the crest is a bit "naked". maybe a soccer ball at the bottom?

I feel the same way about the crest. It needs a little more IMO

I actually forgot to mention that the crest was styled in the way of teams in the Bundesliga, with TSG Hoffenheim being my main inspiration for Ospey. And like, I didn't have any context to work around with for Ospey, as I haven't much developed the history of southeastern Los Altos.

This was one team I had ideas for, but nothing really seemed to work well. However, this idea came to mind, and it works! This symbol on the crest is stylized in the local Native art, with the green top representing the desert foliage, the brown representing the mountains, and the orange bottom representing the orange desert rocks. The sand-colored roundel incorporates both the team name and the city of Shelton into the crest, a la the new West Ham crest, so to represent both the region and the city.

The home kit has a very elaborate with horizontal strips of the Native pattern. The clash kit is inspired by the away kit of pcgd's Arizona United concept; the "Shelton Nights" alt represents the vivid nightlife of this casino city. The kits are sponsored by Nike and the sponsor is Shelton Architecture (naming rights to CyGuy5), a locally-based architecture firm known for designing stadiums.

Nine more teams left!

YEAH! I love the modified Shelton Architecture logo, and the logo: so simple, yet wonderful! The clash is insanely good, and the city really reminds me of a Phoenix-ish place.

I redesigned your Shelton Architecture to more evoke a blueprint-kinda look; I'm glad you liked both your logo and the clash kit! And Shelton is actually supposed to resemble a place like Las Vegas, or basically a Phoenix with way more casinos. Haha...

Wow... This concept is very very... Very. I don't know how to say it but the look is great! Not looking at the map, is this anywhere near Etiwanda?

Thanks! And Shelton, while also on the eastern half of Los Altos, is nowhere near Etiwanda, as Shelton is on the northeastern deserts while Etiwanda is located on the southeastern corner of the country.

Burnside Flames

19117455180_ac062cb1ec_c.jpg

This team's working name was simply Burnside SC, but I decided to give this team an American-style nickname for a team name, with the Flames being a more obvious choice for Burnside. The crest's shape is supposed to represent a flame, with the team name on a black "banner" going across the flame.

The home kit is a gradient resembling a flame, with the darker color (here, red) turning into orange, which then turns into white. The clash kit is a more simple kit with orange-and-red stripes and black sleeves. The kits are supplied by Nike and the sponsor is Nocturnal Beers.

Within the last eight teams, look out for Wanderers, Rovers, goats, and geese! (As always, suggestions for sponsorships, color schemes, design ideas, etc. are appreciated!)

I don't have anything else to say that I haven't already said. Everything looks great.

I figured it was near Etiwanda because of the Indian-esque print...

My I suggest Crisman Innovations as a sponsor?

Yes yes double shoutout!!!

All the kits look sweet. Really love Shelton's Home Kit, really interesting using arrows. I've always felt arrows are an underrated shape. I think the only times arrows were common was like 1998-2003 or so.

Gradients ain't going anywhere, my friend! And I'm glad you liked Burnside! :)

As for the sponsorship, got any logos for it? I'd like to include it in a future team...

Following the footsteps of Mitchoia, that's all! :P

I think arrows are underrated because people tend to relate arrows solely to convey direction and whatnot. That's my take on it. Other than chevrons, I don't really see arrows in sports designs; any examples of those 1998-2003 designs, perhaps?

The primary kit for Southwest Nare reminded me of an ugly Christmas sweater lol. But these are really nice!

I actually thought that too! It just needs snowflakes. :P

Glad you liked 'em!

Centralia is located in mountainous Hila (hence the state name), and this identity very much encapsulates that. The color scheme of jade green, dark brown, and white provide both a nice contrast as well as a color nod to the lush, mountain forests of Hila. The crest idea of using the mountains (which has a little "stream" and a soccer ball "sun" between them) is taken from Milan Vuckovic's Denver Nuggets soccer crest, which I thought looked pretty cool.

The home kit takes the alternating color pattern seen on the crest border and puts it into a jersey. The clash jersey represents the famous waterfalls near Centralia through sublimated, two-tone light gray hoops. The kits are supplied by Under Armour and the sponsor is BEAM, a local business service company (sponsorship goes to rykochristie).

Well, here's the goat I was talking to y'all about. The idea for a goat on a crest was actually originally for Point SC, with a goat standing on a rock shaped like the tip of the peninsula at Point Claraville; however, I thought that a whale would be more appropriate for that team. As one of the remaining "filler" teams, Dunaire, in southeastern Los Altos, was the perfect team for the goat. Going about my reference sites, I found this Bundesliga-style Buffalo Bills crest on Football as Football, and decided that a goat head would look cool with that crest. After a few tweaks to that Bills crest, the Dunaire crest was made. The colors are brown and gray, colors of goats, and red is added to complement these colors.

The home kit, a predominantly gray jersey, is a curved abstraction of the goat horns. The clash kit abstracts the goat horns as red chevrons on a jersey with brown sleeves. The kits are supplied by Galuken while the sponsor is Dodge (because y'know, the Ram trucks, now a separate brand from Dodge).

Six more teams!

I love your crests for Centralia and Dunaire. Very clever with the soccer ball sun. Everyone always wants to throw in a soccer ball and that's a good way to do it creatively.

Thank you! :) I actually noticed a lack of soccer balls in this league's crests, so I wanted to add one to Centralia's. However, I 1) did not want to make it look forced and 2) wanted to alleviate some of the unused space at that part of the crest.

Because today's the Fourth of July, here's a red, white, and blue concept for y'all! The city of Norwood is notable for its impact on Alton aviation, and this team, along with the Norwood Aeros basketball team, honor this through their team identities. In the case of the soccer team, the crest is a simplified wing logo with a lowercase "N" in the middle. While the name and establishment date are on the official crest, they never actually appear on the kits. The colors are because I felt that they were kinda appropriate for aviation.

I gave Norwood the Queens Park Rangers' horizontal blue hoops because the crest sorta has it already. The red, clash kits have a triangle pattern with each triangle a different size, smallest at the bottom and biggest at the top, to evoke a plane's takeoff. The kits are supplied by Nike and the sponsor is Chile's LAN Airlines.

Five more left!

The wings in the crest translate into the hoops so well! Really classy look overall. I'm definitely going to miss this series, but it's bittersweet because I can't wait to see what you have for us next!

The crest's wings was certainly asking for it to be hooped! Haha.

This series has been fun, being in my fictional country and all, but I believe that my next series will be a bit more better, as I'll be drawing from real-world references. Stay tuned! :)

Orange and black reappears in this series again! I don't have a previous "culture" in store for Montvale, so I had to make this identity from almost no ideas except for mountains. And then I stumbled upon this brilliant "MV" monogram, and felt that it's perfect for this city. The crest's "banner" says "MTVL Soccer", drawing upon a popular nickname for this hip city.

The home kit takes the "MV" chevron design and puts it on an orange jersey. The clash kit does the same, putting an orange chevron on a white jersey. The kits are supplied by Adidas and the sponsor is Starbucks Coffee.

Here is the order that the last four teams will be released:
  1. Chatfield 11
  2. McRitter Rovers
  3. Sheridan Wanderers
  4. Premier Cardiff

Stay tuned for these and a few more surprises!
