Hand-Drawn Soccer Drawings: Alton Federation of Soccer

This is perhaps my favorite one yet. I like how the home and clash kits are two completely different colors, which is what a lot of big teams have been doing (just look at La Liga BBV). The name sounds kind of gimmicky at first but you definitely pulled it off. I tip my hat to you, sir. I definitely think you should win a Creamer award for these hand drawn concepts some day!

As for teams, I'd just keep to what you are doing, every Alton city you have could carry a team. As for the names, the team name doesn't HAVE to have the city name in it- (again, look at the English Premier League and Liga BBV), but I'm sure you could pull it off either way. Have you considered making a team that produces it's own kits? AS Roma has a long history of making its own kits, instead of Nike, Under Armour, Umbro, et cetera. I would save his idea, however, for a prominent League 1 team, with enough money to be able to do so. Also, if you run out of ideas for sponsors... Don't be scared to use real world ones (just make sure they don't already sponsor a big team). A good one would be any small companies, like local ice cream parlors or family owned business, that are in your area. Looking forward to more concepts!

Thanks, sir! A thing I like about making soccer concepts is how the two jerseys can look completely dissimilar, with endless possibilities possible for shirt design and colors.

I have a few teams without a city name in their name (such as Monarch SC), but I'm going by the European standards of naming teams (like "SC", "United" and all that fun stuff). Much easier on me because all I'll really have to come up with is city names.

As for a self-sponsored team, I guess I'll try it out with Bahia de Santiago SC in League I. That should be pretty interesting...

Finally, I will be using a handful of real-world international companies for sponsorships in my league. And also, I'm already starting to use a few that you have recommended to me!

Absolutely beautiful. That's all I have to say on this one.

Thank you, glad you like it! :)

Those are the best uniforms I have seen in this series so far! The colors really go well together with the gradient and the logo looks great as usual!

In other news, Shelton Architecture Inc. is interested in a sponsorship

I really like the gradient, myself, as well! My only issue with that logo is that it kinda looks like a logo for some Mexican restaurant or Super 8 motel. Haha...

And Shelton Architecture Inc. can surely secure a sponsorship! Heck, I even have a city called Shelton here, so it's just perfect!

That is incredible, you never fail to impress

Thank you!

Thank you! I do see you with much capability for improvement, just as long as you follow the tips I've seen others give you. (Personally, I don't really have any tips for you, though)

Daryl, you know how big of a fan I am of your work, so bravo. Not too big of a soccer fan, but these are wonderful kits. Keep up the good work.

Thank you sir, glad you're liking this series! And the same goes for me too, as I'm not really a soccer fan but its aesthetics really interest me.

When I was volunteering as sign-bearer at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am yesterday (and I'll be back again there tomorrow), I got some time to sit in the forest while I waited for my tee time. There, I looked at a few pine cones and thought to myself how well a pine cone could be used in the design of a soccer crest. And thus this idea for Lomaie SC was born. I decided to keep the crest as simply a pine cone with text outside of the logo. I thought that it'd look better this way than if I put something inside the crest.

The home kit is inspired by the irregular, diamond pattern of a pine cone. The clash kit is supposed to represent a tree, with a green top and brown shorts. The kits are supplied by Puma (pardon my Puma logo that looks a bit like a really long mouse) and the sponsor is the software company Xapphire (shoutout to rykochristie for the sponsor name).

Been a while since I checked in on this thread and damn is it ever coming along nicely! I know I've touched on this before but drawing things, you really restructure yourself in the sense that you can't really screw up or go back on something, you gather ideas and make a final design - something that would drive me nuts over time - so to that, I applaud you! Having been slowly working on Tamaria's imaginary everything, I really appreciate the effort you put in - bonus for hand drawn of course.

Seeing these really makes me want to make your designs on digital, but I won't.... Only your license plates haha.

Also, can simplicity Hotel and Casino be a franchise in Tamaria as well?

I love the quirkiness of the jerseys that would usually be found in third-tier soccer/football. And thanks for using my ideas! Glad I could help.

Just curious, have you ever thought about doing a tournament/season using these concepts? (Like Windell's Dodgeball Coalition)

Love these past 2 looks! Lomaie's clash is fantabulous, and I kinda like the Puma.

Thank you sir, glad you like 'em!

I agree with you, hand-drawn concepts are pretty much final when you finish with them. However, minor changes can still be easily changed sometimes.

And I'd still like to see some more of my license plates digitized, but only if you really want to. :)

And surely! Simplicity Hotel and Casino can expand with a location of Tamarian soil!

Also, my apologies, it is Liga BBVA not Liga BBV

I've never really seen the identities of third-tier soccer teams, but from what I know about minor league baseball, identities sure can get really wild! However, I do not plan to do an actual season using these concepts, unless someone really wants to do it for me. Don't count on an actual season with these, though.

And I noticed the error there; it's totally cool with me~

And as always, I very much appreciate the feedback and I really like being able to use y'all's suggestions!

The pine cone logo is great! Love what you did with the uniforms as well! That's pretty cool you get to do that at the AT&T Pro Am.

Thanks!

Yeah, being a sign-bearer at Pebble Beach is pretty fun, despite having to get up really early for it and all the walking involved. Some pretty golf courses out there and I get the chance to meet famous people (this past Saturday, I got to meet the owner of the Houston Astros)!

Would the jersey actually be a pinecone pattern, or just a close representation using 2 shades of brown? Either way, it's a little too much for my liking, but it's not horrible, and I do like the clash.

It's actually a kinda simplified version of a pine cone pattern, with me using two shades of brown to sorta emphasize that pattern. It might not be the most liked jersey out there, but I just really wanted to try out the interesting pattern of a pine cone on a jersey. I'm glad you like the clash, though!

Art Deco is the unofficial official art style of the city of Homestead, with its sports teams (such as the Homestead Sun Sox) embracing this style. For the Homestead SC, I decided to focus this identity more on a mountain motif, which explains all the random lines behind the teal "H" in the logo.

The home jersey is the highlight of the Art Deco style seen in this team's identity, with a simple-yet-elaborate "fence" pattern running across the light orange background of the jersey. The clash jersey is a little close-up of the pattern on a turquoise background. The kits are supplied by Warrior (they sure have some crazy designs out there!) and the sponsor is Nare Electric.

PS: As a bonus, here's the sketches I made as I was deciding this team's Art Deco motifs.

I like the sketches, it's cool to see the amount of work you put into designing these concepts. My two very minor things on the kits would be that I'd like to see just a tiny bit of the turquoise appear on the home, and I'd get rid of the horizontal yellow bar on the crest to improve the readability of the H. Again, extremely minor things, this is another great set.

I do end up making many sketches for my concepts to make sure they look as good as I can possibly make them!

As for the Homestead kit, I'm afraid that I just can't fulfill your comments. First of all, the edits would be too hard for me to do as they're colored in pretty well and/or the marker is used is permanent. The turquoise on the clash was honestly a bit more of an afterthought, as a plain-white jersey with the pattern just looked to plain for me. And the horizontal line on the crest is actually a part of my design, so...

However, I do appreciate your feedback as always and I'd love to use it to construct a team identity sometime!

Just a little nitpick... The top of the crest is a tad lopsided. Aside from that, this is another fine concept!

(Also I'd be glad to run a season for you)

Got it fixed now; thanks for pointing it out!

If you know the programs necessary, then you can certainly simulate a season with this league for me!

Another great uniform set!

Thank you, sir!

Portsmouth SC

Founded: 1913

Portsmouth SC has a very long (yet largely unsuccessful) history in the AFS. The crest is inspired by the city's location in the distinctive main peninsula of the State of Bayshore (you can see it on the maps in the 2nd post of this thread), with a soccer ball over where Portsmouth is. The multiple shades of blue represent the city's rich seafaring heritage, as well as the large lake to the north of the city.

The home kit plays a lot about the shoreline of the southern shore of the Bayshore peninsula, with the crest over where Portsmouth would be on a map. Though not too visible on the drawing, there is a cerulean color where the two light blue diagonal stripes intercept, where the crest is in. The clash jersey is based off of the Portsmouth city seal, as the city is pretty much located between mountains and the sea and lake. The kits are supplied by Nike and the sponsor is Sunseeker Yachts (which is hilariously advertised in a Saturday Night Live skit from last year).
