He also got banned from BMO and I read somewhere that he may also be banned from all MLS stadiums.

And from what I have heard, all MLSE facilities as well(acc, Ricoh, not sure about real sports [team store and their bar and grille])

EDIT: Just watched the video, and my props to the reporter. Very well handled and remained calm. Good on her in the face of idiots.

Jesus. Canned from a $100,000 a year job, banned from basically all Toronto sporting events AND all MLS stadiums over THAT? I'm sorry, the FHRITP thing is kinda dumb, but that's a bit of an overreaction if you ask me.

I would lose my job as well. Especially being involved with the public on a daily basis. That creates a bad impression for the company you work with. Can't blame them for firing him.

So I was on the MLS website and decided to check out the expansion team LAFC's site. I scroll down and see a page reading "the search is on for our new home and you're invited to weigh in". I am note sure what to make of that. I know this club is pretty much replacing Chivas USA, so I thought they were slated to be the 2nd team in LA sharing a stadium with LA Galaxy. Is that club already looking to relocate? If so, are they looking for another location in the LA area, or looking to relocate to a new city altogether?

I'd hope they relocate to a new city honestly. Does anybody have a better understanding of what's going on with that club?

Exactly. The search for a new stadium location was announced at their introductory press conference. And their first website included a comment form for fans to suggest locations or at least feel like they're contributing to the discussion. That's nothing new; they've been consistent since literally Day One.

Speaking of, from LAFC's Facebook/Instagram minutes ago:

There's supposed to be a more formal announcement tomorrow.

What a weird shape. I wonder if they're planning phased construction -- why not complete the bowl otherwise?

When does LAFC begin play? And how old will Cristiano Ronaldo be then?

I know you can't trust renderings, but that looks like it's on the site of the Sports Arena. As rumored.

South of downtown but well north of Carson, which means LAFC will be closer to most of the region (save Orange County) than the Galaxy.

Yep, on the Arena site, and completely privately funded.

From what I'm reading with this stadium, it's going to be pushed back to 2018.

One of the old Chivas supporters groups, Black Army 1850, has be really proactive and active in working with LAFC so far (and sometimes a little combative, asking for #MoreThanStickers), trying to edge their way in early as the official supporters group. It looks like they're having a "March to the Match" to today's presser at the arena site. So that'll happen and we'll know more soon.

I think they'd much rather wait another year than play in a temporary stadium. I've heard Minnesota may move up a year and replace LAFC for 2017.

I was saying on Twitter how I'm much more excited for LAFC-Galaxy than Red Bulls-NYCFC. This one would feel more real.

Well it's like, the Red Bulls don't have their own brand, and you never associate them with New York City proper. They've always seemed like a New York team, but just the area. Then you have NYCFC coming in, and they're doing everything to make the city their own. But they're playing in a baseball stadium, so it all seems artificial. Almost like neither team belongs. Yet, NYCFC is already considered to have made their way as New York's team because NYRB doesn't have any titles or a true identity.

Compare that to LA where one team is one of the most decorated teams in this country's history. They've built a dynasty, and have had household names. They have one of the premier SSS in the country. They've already fought off their little brother. Now you have all these rich owners really looking to compete with the Galaxy by moving into the city limits, and throwing around names like Ronaldo. It's like LA has the making to be Real Madrid vs Atletico.

If the Red Bulls were the Metrostars, built their stadium not in Harrison, and won titles, then this wouldn't be an issue because they'd undoubtedly be New Yorks team and could put up a real fight with NYC. I know the Galaxy are in Carson, but it's closer to LA than Harrison is to The Bronx.
