Gothamite
I wouldn't read too much into that last part; the lease agreement doesn't say anything about the various possible financing partners. Nor should we neccesarily expect it to. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.

The_Admiral
Sorry, bub, there's only room for one decrepit old creep in the annals of the OAKLAND Raiders. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
Gothamite
Whoops. Good timing there, as the owners are considering the application. I would suspect it's because Mark already has another bankroll lined up, but... Mark Davis. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. This basically reaffirms the comments from Art Rooney II a couple of weeks ago regarding the league being told by Davis that Goldman Sachs will partner with him. And typically, the league office has a high ranking employee who used to work for Goldman Sachs.

FiddySicks
Even with GS taking up Addelson's part of the funding, I'm not sure how Davis is going to be able to cover the gap. Some feel this is a good thing for the Vegas relocation, but I don't see how. There's almost this perception that Davis just used Addelson as a pawn to get public funding from the state approved, but that's impossible because this is Mark :censored:ing Davis we're talking about. No way that old van driving, PF Changs eating, bowl cut having dope just duped the most powerful dude in Vegas. RAID! Only problem, who pays for a new stadium in San Diego? Davis sure can't. And San Diego wouldn't give the team they'd had for 56 years and actually liked public money, they're sure not giving it to a team they don't like. Not when you've got a competing group offering an MLS/Aztecs stadium for free. Davis would have to fund a San Diego stadium out of his own pockets. Why would Davis submit a relocation proposal that didn't require Adelson if Goldman was requiring Adelson? Something is not adding up.

Granted, it won't cover the difference without significant massaging, but it's a start. While we're spitballing on the future of the Oakland Raiders, if San Diego is a no-go, could San Antonio resurface as a possible destination? What about Sacramento or Portland? Or, heaven forbid, sharing Levi's Stadium with the 49ers? AKA @LanRovr0 on Twitter LED Sig Credits to packerfan21396

Or, heaven forbid, sharing Levi's Stadium with the 49ers? The NFL would need to offer a lot more to Davis then they've already offered to make San Diego work with a $0 public contribution. San Antonio is still there, but Jerry Jones is as well. He'll never allow the Raiders into what he views as his market and he's got the votes to stop it now just as he did a year ago. Sacramento is tapped out on public funds after the new NBA arena and is focused on their MLS bid. I just don't see them coming up with anything compelling for a near as makes no difference broke NFL owner. Portland would take a decade to get off the ground for much of the same reasons as Sacramento, they're invested in renovating for NBA and focused on their MLS team. Ultimately I think you listed the Raiders ultimate end game. They'll be playing in Levis Stadium in the next few years. Their locker room is there behind that big door waiting for them, they just need to take it.
