Supercoollimp
Im very interested to see what other people's favorite custom fonts are on this site. Personally some of my favorite custom made or team/school specific fonts were the Fighting Illini basketball number font from when Demetri McCamey and Mike Tisdale played, the throwback Minnesota Timberwolves number font from the dominant KG era of the 2000s, and the current number font of the Sacramento Kings. I know it's not logical and nearly impossible but I wish we lived in a sports world where every time had their own custom made fonts for their uniforms instead of only using the basic block font. Dynasty
I completely understand what you said about wanting teams to have their own unique number fonts. I believe almost half of the MLB franchises use the generic font and I think some of them would be better off with a different font. However, some of those franchises look fantastic using the generic font.Anyway, I personally love the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Cincinnati Reds number font. aci
The Blue Jays, for sure. The new look with the small serifs on the split font looks awesome. Gold Pinstripes
I'm going old school on this one, UNLV basketball circa 1977. It was their first Final Four appearance, and the custom made number style just screamed "Vegas". It almost seemed similar to a font used on a casino sign, and the Rebels should have kept this style. The 1990 UNLV number font looked conservative by comparison, and for a team with a history of up tempo basketball, the 1977 style seemed more fitting. RyanB06
These are the numbers in question. Almost Montreal Expos-esque, save for the sans-serif 1. JasonFromMiami
Colorado in the NHL, Pirates, Angels, Marlins....not sure they all are custom though
RyanB06
The Marlins' numbers style isn't technically custom, as it's a version of Calvert (I think that's the font name, I might be mistaken). JB83
I'm quite fond of the New Orleans Pelicans. I may be biased since it's the home team, though.
masterchaoss
Maybe a little biased, but I really like the Kings and Ducks font. Kershaw is GOD! Kershaw is LIFE! Kershaw is ALL!
TheOldRoman
It's probably just nostalgia for junior high, but I LOVE that font. If someone were to make a true type font of those numbers, I'd find ways to use it on a daily basis.
oldschoolvikings
If by "custom" you mean non-standard block, I'll take these...If by "custom", you mean a proprietary font designed specifically for a single client... meh, I'd really have to think about it. http://dstewartpaint.blogspot.com/
Sean F&F
It was used by other teams before, and isn't really a custom font, but it's basically the Red Sox number font now, as I don't think any team in any other sport uses it. I always liked the 7's from this set. https://fandfsports.wordpress.com/Hockey Uniform Templates (Gimp/Photoshop) http://seanff.deviantart.com/gallery/52790653/Devious-Folder

OnWis97
Vikings Reebok era. Why? Because it's nearly block. I like the above Red Sox font. But for the most part, I prefer block fonts. I'd rather see 90% of teams use block font with a few exceptions like the Red Sox and Bears. I even prefer UCLA football in block.
