2015 NFL Offseason

I'd like Reggie Bush on the Eagles, I think he would do well in that system.

He is a RB who turned 30 yesterday and had ankle issues all last season. No team will get much out of him.
Yea last year he did, what's to say he will have that type of year again? Year before last was a very good year, in the right system he can flourish. I think he can in chips system.
The numbers on already-injured RBs having good seasons after age 30 are really bad dude.
All RB's are off injured anyways, so what's the difference here?? Plus not everybody is gonna have bad years after 30.
Reggie Bush is no Frank Gore.

Plus, Bush and his guaranteed money are most important to him now due to his age.

Stop making fantasy lineups or realignments as you usually do and start thinking like an adult.

EXCUISE me??? Think like an adult? Why don't you act like one, quit attacking me. Attack the post not the poster. I'm sorry you don't agree with my opinion but attacking me is not the mature thing to do.

Your return on investment is really low here.

Your right, it's usally not a good investment, but you half to take gambles and risks to win as well.

Good. Let's gamble on some random college RB in the late rounds who has 8 fewer years worth of mileage on him, deal?

There are smart risks and there are stupid risks and overpaying for a guy who has cracked 1000 yards just twice and had a bad year last season is a stupid risk.

Reports are coming out saying that if the Cowboys offer to Murray is any where close to his offers from other teams, he'll stay. I don't think Murray is leaving. He's also already stated that he wants to win a Super Bowl above all else so he'll sign with the team that he feels gives him the best chance, which again, is the Cowboys.

This probably isn't a really good "deal assumption", but I see Dallas probably dropping a line and casting out a 4-year deal or something. Not too long, not too short though.

Murray is such a tricky item for the Cowboys. I mean he was the most productive back in the league last year, but was injury riddled the two seasons before that. I love what he brings to the team, but I worry that last season was a fluke and he can't keep that up.
He's too important for this team to not sign him. I think the Cowboys are just about to enter a 2-3 year championship window. I'm sure Murray believes that too.
Is it bad I laughed at this?

I chuckled. I think the Cowboys will surely fall back down to earth and finish with 7 or 8 wind. However, Rockstar Matt, if you are indeed correct and they continue to at least contend for a super bowl, please dig up this quote. I will admit I was wrong. I just feel like the Cowboys are a flimsy team.

Did Murray go to Duke this weekend with Romo and Garrett for PR?

It's not a problem. I'm used to people taking digs at the Cowboys. People have for my whole life.

What the Cowboys have going for them is that: they were the 2nd youngest team last year; we have an offensive line who is both very young and arguably the best o-line in the NFL; arguably the best offense in the NFL; our defense is only going to get better, especially with Sean Lee coming back and we were only a couple plays away from a redevous with the Seahawks in the NFC championship game.

I don't see the mirage with the Cowboys. They're for real. Will they win a Super Bowl? I don't think so. But last year I think they proved themselves as contenders. This is coming from a Redskins fan. I don't see the "homerism" here.

Yeah. The Cowboys were for real. They bucked every Cowboy trend last season. After laying an egg on Thanksgiving, they went into Philly and handed the Eagles their asses. They won in Soldier Field in December, and while the Bears were terrible, that's a game they absolutely would have lost the previous four seasons. And we know how their season ended. Whether or not they were screwed by the refs, they were in a position to win that game and very nearly went to the NFC title game. Even with the questionable call against Detroit which "gave" them the game, I think they did more than enough last season to prove they were legit. The NFL is fickle and they very well might lose 11 games next season, but right now they look like one of the teams to beat in 2015.

Love this for the Bills. They didn't really miss Alonso last year, Fred Jackson will eventually get old (even though I love him), and I don't think CJ Spiller is the answer.

If only they had a QB...

Learn to live with Matt Cassel
I was really really excited for about five minutes when I first heard this... then I remembered that it's Minnesota Matt Cassel, not New England or even Kansas City Matt Cassel. Oh well.

Well, Miami only gave Charles Clay the Transition Tag, so they may overpay for a Fullback next week too.

A Buffalo sports media guy was on Toronto radio earlier... seemed pretty giddy that the Bills were (finally!?) doing something to address RB by acquiring a guy with so many carries & touches, it can only be a great thing for Rex Ryan.

Uhh... aging RBs with too many carries & touches isn't usually a great thing moving forward. Oh well, lols Bills.

They were a top 5 defense last year, and the only player they gave up missed the entire season. McCoy could fall off the cliff, but he's still productive as of 2014, relatively young, and anything the Bills get out of him will be "free".

I get the money thing, and I even get that Philly is probably a more fun city than Buffalo, but the Bills are trending upward and are probably going to be a better team than the Eagles next season. Citing the Bills history of losing seems like a pretty weak excuse for not wanting to play there.
