Darth Brooks 229 Posted March 23, 2015 H11k asked me to make a template from a photo of a Riddell Speedflex. Here it is:And it can be found here: http://darth-brooks.deviantart.com/art/Ridell-Speedflex-front-521504226Here it is in 3/4 view:It can be found here: http://darth-brooks.deviantart.com/art/Riddell-speedflex-3-4-view-521503929http://darth-brooks.deviantart.com/art/Riddell-Speedflex3-4-reversed-with-guide-5245931763/4 view reversed.Side View:It's here: http://darth-brooks.deviantart.com/art/Riddell-Speedflex-Side-522212246Pretty simple template. Most of the how was covered in the Photoshop advice thread although I did need to make a fake shine for a glossy helmet. What Fraser Davidson makes is waaaay better but someone might get some use out of this.

BrandMooreArt 3,766 Posted March 23, 2015 looks great Darth. if you want, you can simulate a truer gloss finish by placing an image of refections on top. just search "chrome reflections sphere" and pick what you like.
weemunk 28 Posted March 23, 2015 Here's my first attempt with this awesome template. I created this one in how I'd prefer the helmet to look.- I changed the navy to a deeper color of aqua.- Changed the facemask from white to aqua- Changed the navy stripe to orange to make it stand out more.
Darth Brooks 229 Posted March 23, 2015 Well that's just cool. Nice to see the template put to immediate use, although the curve of the stripe looks just a bit off. Seems like it bends more than it should. I need to add stripes to the template.looks great Darth. if you want, you can simulate a truer gloss finish by placing an image of refections on top. just search "chrome reflections sphere" and pick what you like.I'll give that a try. I'm thinking of doing the direct side as well.
Blackhawks#9 8 Posted March 24, 2015 Wow. Excellent template. I hope you do the direct side.

Hard to get it just right... at least for me anyway. If you were to incorporate striping into the set that would be awesome. Multiple choices like single stripe, double, triple (like the old dolphins and skins), and maybe even the broncos or panthers striping. Thanks again for sharing your amazing work and I look forward to any updates you add.
Darth Brooks 229 Posted March 24, 2015 I'll do some striping later but I added the side view to the OP.

weemunk 28 Posted March 24, 2015 Here is the Dolphins with the front-view template and I revised the angle-view by adding some noise to the background to give it some texture.
