Ironing patches onto jerseys

Got the patches in the mail a few days ago and finally decided to iron on the patches this evening. The first attempt, I had the iron on too low, and while I thought the patch was on, as soon as I took it off the ironing board, it started to peel off. I cranked up the iron — not all the way to the highest, but hot enough that, when I flicked a few drops of water on it, they sizzled and evaporated almost immediately — and got it back on there. I laid a thin tea towel over the patch and went in 15-second increments, and it took about three of those to make sure it was on there. The jersey's now hanging up in the bedroom and I'm going to keep a close eye on it over the next couple of days to see how the patches are doing.
