A-list celebs + gazillionaires all in the same room for the fight. I don't know all the details, as if, yet enough resale could be coming from both Mayweather & Pacquiao's camps who were allocated tickets as part of the deal. They've made a return to network TV with the PBC (Professional Boxing Champions) series on both NBC, CBS and will take over ESPN's Friday Night Fights, but the biggest issue is the promoter which the networks have partnered with...Al Haymon. Haymon acts as both promoter and manager for over 60+ fighters well known to a boxing fan and skirts the intent of Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act since his contracts state he is "an advisor" as opposed to manager.And those HWY "athletes", specifically U.S. ones turn professional with next to zero amateur bouts; some do have zero. Super Lightweight through Light Heavyweight, or 140-175 pounders are the most competitive and most active. The prices, both for tickets to the event and the insane PPV prices, is why boxing is never gonna hold my interest.
