Gothamite
I think that's a shame. But it's apples to oranges. There is a specific and well-known consequence to gambling in baseball. Pete Rose knew what would happen if he bet on baseball at all. And then he bet on his own games. And then he lied about it. Again and again and again and again and again. And he lied about the people who truthfully accused him. Again and again and again and again and again. To this very day. But apparently he ought to be relieved of any consequences for violating the rules and the decades of lying and the character assassination and everything. Not because he's contrite, or admits his mistake or is working with gambling addicts or because he's become a good citizen and has spent the hard work to restore his place in the game. No, he should be excused because he was good at baseball. Really, Tank. The argument is pathetic, anemic and totally unworthy of you. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
