deked73
Years ago, I was member of the Major League Hockey fantasy league. One member had a team that i designed the logo and the uniforms for the team when he was coming up with a name for the team. He decided to call them the 66ers for the fact Route 66 goes through Flagstaff. http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/57624-name-the-flagstaff-franchise/ With all of the talk of the NHL expanding also it would be a safe bet that the AHL would also expand. Plus, having this year the AHL moving several teams out west to be closer to their parent clubs and a other NHL clubs moving their affiliates to them such as Columbus moving to Lake Erie Monsters. I thought of this old concept for a possible new AHL team to become the affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes. The Colors are to resemble the state flag of Arizona with the red being the Coyotes brick red and on the alternate jersey the sand from the Coyotes logo. The design pattern on the alternate is to pay homage to the Coyotes original uniforms when they moved but with a Navajo design influence which is also in the Inaugural Season patch on the jersey. The Secondary logo is of a meteor with the puck inside for the crater that is near Flagstaff that a meteor caused long ago. The Inaugural Season patch design as mentioned has a Navajo inspired shape with the moon representing the Coyotes from their logos, the road representing Route 66 with the team logo being the route sign, the mountain in the background is the San Francisco Peak nearby Flagstaff. I intend to post these on HJC in the future. Any and all input welcome. (the set on the ice background is my initial design in made. I posted the other jerseys as options to what i first made as possible replacements or additions)
JCRGraphix
Wow! This is really cool! I'm not a big fan of adding that sand color, but other than that, this is fantastic.
S.Tom.P
There's a definitive side-of-the-road feel to it. It superbly holds the identity. Terrific.
Jake88
These are nice, its a great update of the original concept. I have two things I don't like about the logos which are the hashes in the puck on the secondary logo which I think could be simplified, and in the inaugural season logo the banners could be extended a bit so they are covering more of those points. But both of those are very minor. I like the second batch of uniforms better as well
PhreshPrince12
I think this is outstanding. It's a great color combination, and I especially like the last uniform. Great work!
Concepts_SM
I like it. Perfect for the AHL!
the_grateful_ted
This is perfect! That primary logo is flawless!
McElroy19
This is really great. I go to school at NAU in Flagstaff and I think this well represents the town. Your bottom burgundy jerseys is a beauty. I love the subtle native american imagery and nods. The only problem is flag is a small town and wouldn't pull enough fans. here' a picture of NAU's original hockey team playing in our football stadium the sky dome which could be used for your 66ers linktr.ee/McElroy19 // Graphic Design — Vegas Golden Knights. // Sports Logos and UniformsLet’s work together!! Stampman
The primary is quite nice--it says what it is, and isn't just generic.the colours work well too.the secondary is a bit busy--but okay.I like the uni design overall.the red ones look better to me, but I wouldn't complain about the blue ones either. Comic Sans walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve your type here."

I think that while Flag might look good on paper (and more importantly is much closer to the Yotes than anything else), it is kind of small, and I don't know how an AHL slate of home games would work in a rather busy Skydome that hosts football and basketball. As to the designs, they're great. I like the last one — I think a little American Indian stuff works here given the region.
deked73
the more i look into it, yea in reality it is more than likely would not work and places such as Tuscon would be more viable. This is more or less for fantasy sake and was fun to create. I didnt realize that all the biggest cities in AZ are around Phoenix
