Tebow cut! eagles must know somebody is going to become available since they only have 2 on the roster.

I wonder if he knew, or if he thought he made it once Barkley was traded. I kinda hope it was the latter. Not sure there's ever been anyone else given so many chances to show he can play, only for people to think he deserves even more. I sincerely hope his is the last we ever hear of him as an NFL player.

From an in-town perspective, was there really that much thought that Tebow was going to be this two-point specialist? That would have been a very interesting development with the new PAT rules.

For the Falcons, the lone surprise so far is that Antone Smith is going to be let go. Dude is such a home-run hitter. Don't know why the Smith regime didn't know how to use his guy until halfway through last year. A little surprising to see both Rex Grossman (dude was fat...not Jared Lorenzen territory, but you can tell he's been on the couch) and TJ Yates both let go, which leaves two QB's on the roster.

Thankfully, the Patriots will release Reggie Wayne.

Not that I don't want Reggie to play, I love the guy. I just don't think I could stand him actually playing with the Patriots.

It was mentioned but I think it's silly since he doesnt give you anything more than a running back would down there (I'm sure most RBs could throw just as well as him).

The Eagles were pushing for the 2pt line to be moved up to the 1, and many people thought that may have been why they wanted tebow, but again, it seems like a waste of a roster spot to have a 2-pt "specialist".

"2-pt specialist" translates to "sucks at everything other tha. Running straight ahead"

Didn't they just put Jerome Bettis in the hall for doing just that?

If Tim Tebow wants to convert to RB and let a real QB hand him the ball then maybe him running straight ahead would be of some value.

Chip Kelly, after actually saying publicly that Tebow "just isn't good enough to be a #3" (nice to hear that kind of honesty), said that he told him if he wants to keep trying QB that he should go to Canada and work on it.

I'm not sure why he already hasn't tried this, and while I'm assuming he's calling it a career, it would be hard to take him seriously ever again if he keeps looking for try outs in nfl without working on his game in the cfl as has been recommended.

The only problems with this report are: videotaping signals still isn't illegal and any rule about it came in 2007 (videotaping must be done from approved locations).

This is a "We lost in court, so we must try to bring the Pats down at all costs" rebuttal by the league and it's shill reporters at ESPN.

And seriously...NFL coaches aren't dumb. It's better to cast doubt on a morally-beleaguered franchise than admit anything in-house.

BUT THEY FILMED THE RAMS WALKTHROUGH AND WE'RE STILL GOING TO TALK ABOUT IT EVEN THOUGH IT DIDN'T HAPPEN.

This is just a hit piece designed to make the Patriots look bad after the NFL couldn't nail them in court. This is more repetitive than the booking of John Cena.

I'd love to see the day a Pats fan could just give an unqualified admission that maybe their team bends the rules more than the rest.

EDIT: Also, the NFL is a clown league and Goddell a clown commissioner. This is MLS levels of favoritism and doublespeak.

Be more predictable, Pats fans. Did you even read it?

This cites far more examples of the spying than previously documented, stealing playbooks, and destroying evidence by the league, and Goodell protecting one of the owners on his compensation committee (really shilling for the NFL there, ESPN). Nobody looks good in this.

I did read it. Gamesmanship is just that.

If you're dumb enough to leave playbooks out...if you're dumb enough to not change hand signals or have some dummy signals set up (seriously, colleges have used dummy signalers for at least 40 years)...

Did the Pats know Charles Woodson was going to blindside Tom Brady? That's pretty amazing...with all that spying, they had to know, right?

I guess the Pats stole signals to beat the Steelers in the AFCC via blocked kick returned for a touchdown...

Mike Shanahan, Bill Walsh, Jimmy Johnson...these sort of things are nothing new to them.

People are upset because it's the Pats.

I'm just amused by Pats fans turning on ESPN.

Well, now you have more fuel to the roaring fire that is hatred of the Patriots.

Still... if they did what they did, why are we hearing about this now and not when it started? It just screams laziness here.

If "my" team ISN'T doing these things (except for cutting the com - that's actually pretty dirty) I'm disappointed. If I was an owner I'd "buy" some scrub on every in conference team and secretly funnel him money to pass along every bit of info possible.

Bill Parcells claimeds Bill Walsh cut headset communication in playoff games. Walsh gave Parcells a wink in response.

Bill Walsh***. San Francisco 49ers*****.

Isn't that how it works??
