Bills score easily on the opening drive. This can't end well.

Edit: Brady had to burn a timeout on the first third down of the game because of crowd noise. We're doomed.

Well. This went south quickly.

The last drive by the 49ers has me extremely confused as to what exactly is a catch in this league now.

Twice a 49er caught the ball with both hands, hand control, got both feet down, got hit as they're going out of bounds, lost the ball while out of bounds, and it was ruled no catch. In any previous year in the NFL or any other level of football that I watch on a very regular basis, I would call that a catch. Especially with one of those catches being in the end zone, where for my entire life I've had the understanding of "breaking the plane = touchdown. Period."

But whatever, NFL.

This is fun.

Indeed. The Patriots really needed a win today. Good for those guys to get out there and pull one out over the guys they beat 29 of the last 30 times they played.

It doesn't make any sense, and in years past it would've really ticked me off. But it just is what it is at this point. This is what we're left with.

The Bucs look fun today! I'm sure it won't last.

Edit: Oh lookie, they just fumbled again.

Double edit: ANOTHER fumble! My God, Tampa.

Oh, yeah. My bad. I forgot that since my team wins, I am forbidden from commenting on said wins and I must also refrain from commenting on what others say about the team.

I aspire to be as wise as you, DG. Less snarky, but just as wise.

I thought we had successfully ruled that Patriots fans don't get to express joy about their team. Maybe it'll be okay in the 2030s.
