BBTV
Frank Cignetti's not a good OC and probably should be let go if the Rams could ever find somebody else to take the job. That said, he's probably done 4 times as much with Tavon Austin in 7 games than Brian Schottenheimer did in 2 ing yearsWhy Brian Schottenheimer continues to be gainfully employed as an offensive coordinator by otherwise self-respecting football teams is one of the great mysteries of the universe. That guys a coach in the NFL now? He was HC of my alma mater (D-II IUP) when I was there. IceCap
That was a brutal hit on Lockette. Thankfully, he's OK and came out with a concussion... which is probably the best case scenario in that situation. Not belittling what happened, you know.As for the game itself: It wasn't pretty, but I will take it. Seattle is at .500 with a bye week and two games with the Deadbirds coming up. Considering that Arizona looked sloppy in Cleveland today, I say they're ripe for the picking. Yeah, they were so sloppy that after being down 20-10, they reeled off 24 unanswered points and won going away. Also, "deadbirds?" Isn't the bar around here set just a little higher than that? OK, before the comeback and even during the comeback, they were sloppy. 4 turnovers for Arizona in that game against Cleveland, coming off a short week.Oh, and if you have better insult then Deadbirds, be my guest.Big talk coming from a guy whose team has managed to beat a crapsack 49ers squad and barely beat a Cowboys team playing at half capacity. rams80
Take a good guess as to whether Kaep gave the ball to the guy circled in Red or Yellow! The drive this play is from needs to be reposted for its sublime beauty. And to hammer home just how inept San Fran's offense is right now. 1-10-SF 3 (5:32) 22-M.Davis right tackle to SF 2 for -1 yards (26-M.Barron). 2-11-SF 2 (5:03) 22-M.Davis left tackle to SF 1 for -1 yards (26-M.Barron; 90-M.Brockers). 3-12-SF 1 (4:29) 22-M.Davis up the middle tackled in End Zone for -1 yards, SAFETY (55-J.Laurinaitis). BBTV
It was reported today that after the third preseason game, Sam Bradford turned down a 4-year contract offer worth 18M / year with 30M guaranteed. WHEW!!!!! I get that he might have seen that as a 2-year 30M deal, but he hadn't played in 2 seasons and wasn't good before that - he should have signed before they even finished reading the terms. RockyTopper
USA Today, Fox Sports and various other sources reporting that the Titans have fired Ken Whisenhunt. Mike Mularkey is filling in as interim HC.All I can say is THANK YOU! 3-20 is unacceptable in the NFL and I'm surprised the Titans knowing their tendencies didn't let him finish the year out. Since their October 12th, 2014 win over Jacksonville (which was a last second win squeaked out anyway with a blocked FG) the Titans have won ONE game. ONE. At least we won't hear "We're so close" or "We're almost there" after every single game week in and week out. ☦ICXC NIKA
