2015 NFL Season-Now with Playoff Talk

Barring some miraculous turn around in which they win out the rest of the schedule and make the playoffs, I almost wonder if Jason Garrett should be worried about his job security. He has a string of 8-8 seasons, a strong season last year and a disaster in the making this season.

The only person who should be fired is whoever thought Brandon Weeden was a serviceable back-up. Too bad he's the owner and won't fire himself.

I wouldn't be if I were him. Losing Romo killed this team. Now more than ever the NFL is a quarterback-driven league, and if you don't have a good backup when your starter gets hurt (and the Cowgirls don't), this is what happens.

Honestly, neither team deserved to win. The Eagles were sloppy, the Cowboys needed a Hail Mary and some bad calls.

Bradford is being praised for not being horrible. What baffles me is Murray getting some praise. Ryan Mathews and DarreSproles should get 60% and 20% of the carries respectively. They have to change the whole offense and go under center just to accommodate slow ass demarco. They didn't need to sign him - they already had Ryan Mathews committed. Waste of money.

You can have Nick Foles back if you want.

/Can't believe they gave him an extension before the season.

Is Todd Gurley still a bust to you, rams?

NFL teams will figure out how to defend him before the end of the season or he'll blow out his knee before 3 years are out.

Either way, we won't get value for that pick.

Tyrod Taylor looks like a good NFL quarterback. The team looks so much more confident when he's playing.

I'd love to have the Jacksonville game back (or at least the bogus PA call at the end), but 4-4 is acceptable considering three of those losses are against division leaders.

He is in year one of a new five year contract. More importantly, Jerry sees Garrett as basically his third son. He is very save.

Eagles defensive MVP and DROY candidate Jordan Hicks out for the season. He's been a monster starting at LB while other guys have been out, and had a pick-6 just last night. While they are crowded at MLB with Kiko Alonso (if he ever actually plays), Michael Kendricks, and Dameco Ryans (I think I butchered each of those names, but whatever), Hicks had emerged as the heart of a defensive unit that has carried them most of the season.

That moment when you wonder whether dfwabel-Tank is a rivalry or a competition.

Dion Lewis is done for the year with an ACL tear. That really hurts the Pats, he was really an every down back and a huge part of our offense. James White is the likely candidate to replace him, with help from Bolden. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Pats re-sign Travaris Cadet either.

Also, the Pats o-line is in shambles. The top 3 tackles are hurt, with 1 done for the year, so out backup center ended up playing tackle during yesterday's game. They played surprisingly well, but we won't win in Denver with that line.

He did pretty well. Then again, it was in a game against the Redskins...

So I haven't been following this thread but anyone know what to make of this?

Well.. going to be kinda hard to make sure Welker doesn't get bell rung (again).

In other news: Aqib Talib's piss poor attempt at being a member of the Three Stooges gets him a 1 game suspension.

Frank Cignetti Jr. and Jeff Fisher are rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

The problem with the Rams' offense isn't the receivers per se-it's the scheme, playcalling, and possibly QB. And the first two can't be corrected because Cignetti's the Rams OC because nobody else even wanted the job.

/Although trading Chris Givens didn't help.

Worst case for the Pats -- assuming a healthy Brady -- is 13-3. They'll be fine.

Seriously. How many nameless backs/offensive linemen have played in that offense throughout their reign of annoyance? Plug in another plug and they'll still be okay.

That was a fun 4th quarter between two really bad teams.

I read this earlier yet I can't believe it - the Patriots have won 29 games in a row when they've run at least 25 times.

I can't believe it because I googled it to no avail. Read it in a morning paper.
