The refs in the Redskins-Panthers game have done an absolutely terrible job

Yeah, they've been awful for both teams, but the bad calls seem to be coming at the worst possible times for the Skins.
It almost seems like the refs are ensuring the Panthers stay unbeaten...

Not if the Panthers are beating the living snot out of the Redskins. The refs can only do so much.

The Panthers are obviously a much better team, but the Skins could have been up 21-14 with a huge momentum swing, and things could have played out much differently from there. I'm not saying they would have won, but they probably keep it much closer if those questionable calls didn't completely take the wind out of their sails.

To be honest, I wasn't watching the game. But I understand that bad calls can turn the momentum.

The Vikings are who we thought they were. So are the Packers.

I think Seattle will be embarrassed today by the Whiners.

Says the guy with a Chargers helmet avatar.

If there was an embarrassment today, it was San Diego. You had Gates about ready to smack Rivers' candy ass back to next year... they let a freaking 350 pound man score on them... oh, and they got stomped by 30. I think the Chargers are the biggest embarrassment in the NFL right now.

Yeah, they stink allright! They just embarrassed themselves against a dominant Kansas City team this afternoon! This team just sucks now! Same for the Whiners, Once they were losing big, I was wrong, so I turned against them and was so happy the Seahawks won! San Fran, I hate you guys!

Yeah that was a great game. The Cardinals were really fun to watch last season, and they're even more fun this year.

Oh, and even better, the Bucs are one game out of the playoffs. They're probably not gonna make it, but that's fun.

The Bengals defensive backfield was way too depleted for the last drive.

However, I agree. Bengals should've set Nugent up better. Why in the world we didn't run that clock down to :05 Seconds before kicking the FG is beyond me.

Ugh. Another disgusting loss.

Easy to second guess now and I can appreciate going for the win, but other than a fumble, in that 3rd and 3 situation, there is no bad outcome from a run. Either you're stuffed and you get no yards (which is what ended up happening from the incompletion/near interception anyways) and you run down the clock and play for overtime OR you actually get a first down, which I think they would've based on the playaction. The Cards had no timeouts left and the Bengals had one so I think it's a no-brainer.

Put the already depleted defense in a bad position. But I think Dalton has finally grown up. Showed it on those last two possessions.

Damn though that one sucked to lose. It's been a while since Marvin Lewis' poor clock/timeout management came to hurt us.

Well, there was still a chance to score a TD there. Nugent isn't the most reliable kicker around, and I hate the idea of "laying up" from that far out in general anyway. However, since the Bengals still did have a timeout to work with, one run play to bleed the clock mixed in there, and you still have, lets say, :30 to go 30 yards for a touchdown? You're still set up pretty well there. The risk of an interception is still there, but that's just the nature of a situation like that.

Like I said, though. Sometimes you get into such a pass-happy groove that the run game doesn't even really get considered. I suspect that happened with Guenther and the Bengals there.
