Coast2CoastAM2006
Of course Weeden would lead the Texans to a win over the Colts. I wonder if this is going to be a one off like Chad Hutchinson was when he was cut by the Cowboys and then signed by the Bears and later on had that magnificent game who I think was against the Wikings(?) and was never heard from again. BBTV
Apparently the Niners couldn't figure out math. Late in the 3rd, down 24 to Cincy, they scored a TD. 3 TDs plus 2 point conversions would tie it. So instead they just kicked the extra point. I won't ever figure that out. They are also 0 for 6 on challenges this year. Tomsula should go, but obviously Jed needs to go first. You could easily argue that was the right move.Kick the PAT and you're down 17 (2 TDs + 1 FG).Miss the 2pt conversion and you're down 18 (2 TDs + at least 1 2PC + FG)2pt conversions are low % plays and you don't want to run one unless you absolutely have to. THere's still a lot of game to go in the 3rd quarter and you can't play for a tie with that much time left when there's no way to predict that the other team won't score again (which if you're down 24, it's likely that they will.) Niners scored with a little more that 18 minutes left in the game. At that point, I'd be in the "reduce possessions" camp. (Of course, that was "the ways things were" before the PAT attempt got pushed back.)

JayMac
I can see if these were NHL power rankings. Come on ESPN, this is the league that you love to pimp out 24/7 (when the attention isn't on the NBA). You can at least get the league's team names correct, or at least, you know, the team's current city correct.
Discrim
You see wideouts and corners shoving each other post play all the time, and that's usually the extent things escalate to. I figure a few things about the OBJ-Norman street fight: first, the obligatory "I went to a street fight and a football game broke out" crack...second, Panthers practice squad nobody, if ya really need a bat that badly, Yankee Stadium's east of the Meadowlands...third, I can understand why Coughlin left Beckham in, the Giants had no chance of coming back otherwise. The refs, though, should've made at least some attempt to make sure that crap didn't escalate to the absurd extent it did, where we have a wideout trying to behead someone. Ridiculous. FiddySicks
I'm actually kind of glad that attempted pass play for a touchdown from Woodson to Carr didn't work. I think they might've burned down the whole Coliseum and a good chunk of the East Bay had THAT been the end of the Oakland Raiders.
