WJMorris3 535 Posted January 19, 2020 Andy Reid is just the fourth head coach to win both the George Halas Trophy and the Lamar Hunt Trophy in his career. (The others are Bill Parcells, Dan Reeves, and John Fox.)

Sport 13,678 Posted February 5, 2020 5 Latvian goaltenders have started at least 1 game in the NHL. This year's Blue Jackets with Elvis Merzlikins and Matiss Kivlenieks have two of them.

BBTV saw, whilst sitting on a bench sipping cappucino in Riga Latvia, a Dinamo Riga team bus with Arturs Irbe's (among others') image on the side pass in front of him. Not certain but pretty sure that Irbe was the first of said Latvian goalies.

wdm1219inpenna 47 Posted May 17, 2020 If you are a Yankees fan, you'll probably want a Democrat as President. The last time the Yankees won a World Series with a Republican at the helm was way back in 1958 when Dwight Eisenhower was in office. Yankees World Series victories since then: 1961 & 1962 (JFK) 1977 & 1978 (Carter) 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000 (Clinton) 2009 (Obama) Yankees World Series losses since 1958: 1960 vs Pittsburgh Pirates (Eisenhower) Republican 1963 vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (Kennedy) Democrat 1964 vs. St. Louis Cardinals (Johnson) Democrat 1976 vs. Cincinnati Reds (Ford) Republican 1981 vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (Reagan) Republican 2001 vs. Arizona Diamondbacks (Bush) Republican 2003 vs. Florida Marlins (Bush) Republican

FinsUp1214 5,553 Posted May 27, 2020 Apologies if this was posted already, but here’s one I thought was interesting: There have been only two triple-overtime games in NBA Finals history, and Paul Westphal participated in both of them; once as a player (1976 Game 5) and once as head coach (1993 Game 3). He was also a member of the Suns both times.
DNAsports 5,361 Posted September 13, 2020 Washington (NFL) had a big day in stats and facts: - First Week 1 home opener win since 2011 - First win against Philadelphia after losing the previous 6 matchups - Most sacks in a single game since 2014 (8) - Largest comeback win since 2015 against Tampa Bay (17, 27 unanswered) - Largest comeback against Philadelphia in franchise history - First NFC East victory since Week 8 of 2018 - DE Ryan Kerrigan is now the franchise leader in sacks (92) - RB Peyton Barber scored more touchdowns (2) than average yards per carry (1.7) Might not be the most interesting facts and stats, but still a big game for Washington as a team

TrueYankee26 1,027 Posted September 16, 2020 Denver is also the first to come back from multiple 3-1 deficits in the NBA playoffs. Doc Rivers was already the only coach to blow multiple 3-1 leads (2003 Magic vs Pistons, 2015 Clippers vs Rockets) and now he has blown THREE.

I believe he has 23% of all blown 3-1 leads, according to r/NBA. Impressively bad.
