NHL 15-16: wife-beaters, adulterers, cokeheads, rapists, pill-poppers, AND METHODISTS

Here's a view from Brooklyn:

It reminds me of some of the seating at the Grand Garden Arena in Vegas when the Kings host Frozen Fury. It's barely passable for that and it's a once a year preseason game that really is just for the ambiance. It's flat out awful for 41 games in BKLYN.

Uh... at least they can see part of the goal?

That's all I've got.

It's just like America West when the Coyotes played there. Seats in one end of the upper deck couldn't even see one of the goals so at that point you're only going to the games for the....ambiance?

For the atmosphere and experience. At least Barclays Center has a big HD video board that people can watch the game on, something America West didn't have. Plus I think they're charging a lot less for those seats.

I'm not sure if I believe it or not, but I've heard through the grapevine that an Islander employee who wasn't happy with the move was told to hang in there for three years because they might be moving back to Nassau after that. I don't know if this meant full time or for the 6-8 games a year they were planning to play at the renovated Coliseum. Or if it's just BS. If they succeed at drawing fans in Brooklyn, I have a hard time seeing them move back.

It will all come down to whether or not if I move to the city and sell my car. If I do, the Isles will move and I will be screwed.

and of course I have tickets for a game in late October in the limited view overhang area. Should be a blast...

Don't worry, you'll get to watch the game on a really big TV hanging over the blue line!

Looks like crap but at least stockbrokers and trust fund babies can finally enjoy artisan nachos or something.

Late reply -- you should have said artisan poutine to be more authentic.

Here's what artisan poutine looks like in Seattle:

What exactly makes something artisan? I see this thrown around foods and I'm curious about the artisan rage

Is this still the NHL thread for '15/'16?

3 on 3 OT has been fun, it's even more fun when they mandate it no matter what the score is for experimentation.

Is it 3 on 3 OT this year ? Why not just have the 2 goalies on the ice, let them try to score, or even better: duke it out !

It costs twice as much as you think it should, and it's sold in a neighborhood where the rent costs twice as much as you think it should.

Don't forget, the ingredients are fair trade and only harvested by native Peruvians on the third Tuesday of the month when the full moon is out.

It means it's been made while wearing a beret.

It was great to see Quebec City back into the NHL picture, even if was just a pre-season game with 2 visiting teams.

So apparently this is the new Isles goal horn

Kudos for making something more annoying than the seats facing away from the goals, I guess

they worked with the MTA, eh? THEN HOW COME YOU DIDN'T JUST MOVE THE LIRR HORN FROM THE COLISEUM GIVEN THE LIRR'S UNDERNEATH THE ARENA ANYWAY

That horn won't last. Wow, that's terrible. And they're still using that stupid whoa-oh song? Guess it's better than Jay-Z.
