NHL 15-16: wife-beaters, adulterers, cokeheads, rapists, pill-poppers, AND METHODISTS

Conversely, even though the entire hockey world is begging to give Jamie Benn the blowjob of his life, I don't think the Stars are close to unbeatable. One well-placed Minnesota Wild trap and they're out on their asses.

I don't think it's so much begging to give Benn a blowjob as it is the hockey world is pleasantly surprised to see someone other than the usual suspects atop the NHL West.

The Stars are a refreshing change of pace from the Chicago/LA/Anaheim hegemony of recent years.

The Columbus Blue Jackets trade Ryan Johansen to the Nashville Predators for Seth Jones. More to come.

That is a trade right there, yeeapp

Behold the awkward glory of Johansen's personal basketball/ball hockey court, which he tweeted made him untradeable:

"This one will put everything together, I'm sure of it!" said Jarmo Kekalainen, lighting a sixth bundle of dynamite and throwing it into the pile of rubble that was once his house.

I really like this trade for the Jackets.

*fades back into darkness*

Yeah, it's a decent trade. It basically depends on how well Johansen does, because Seth Jones is one of the best young defensemen in the game and will anchor that blue line for years. If Johansen continues his current, mediocre form, then it's an enormous win for the Jackets. If Johansen gets back to pre-Tortorella levels, then it will look less like a slam dunk and more like a solid 15-footer.

Well let's recap the week...

- Winter Classic

- Florida goes on 10-game win streak

- John Scott named captain of the Pacific for the ASG

- Sidney Crosby snubbed from the ASG

- The ASG jerseys are complete garbage

- Lecavalier (finally) gets traded and will retire at year's end (finally)

- Richards finds a new dealer in Trotz

- RyJo for SeJo

Johansen will score 50 goals next year.

Frickin Torts.

uh what makes you say that? Nashville has worse offence than Columbus...

15+ years of guys leaving Columbus and instantly getting better on other teams.

Yeah I do too after having a night to think about it. Johansen is a moody diva who only plays hard when he's motivated*. He wasn't playing well even before Richards was fired and showed up this season out of shape. Seth Jones** will look really good next to Ryan Murray and Zach Werenski in a couple years***

*all that said, he's the coveted "number 1 center" everybody wants, we searched for one for 13 years, finally got one, and now he's gone. That worries me.

**I'd be more excited if every player who came to Columbus didn't automatically turn into the injury prone bad hockey playing version of themselves.

***last thing that gives me pause: Waiting for guys to pan out. again. We made the playoffs in 2014 and we had supposedly arrived plus had guys in the pipeline. If they didn't have the worst injury luck I've ever seen in 2015 they'd have been in the playoffs again. But now they've completely regressed to 2011-2012 levels, which makes no sense. Now our defense is Jones, Ryan Murray, Jack Johnson, David Sevard, Fedor Tyutin, Kevin Connauton, Cody Goloubef, Dalton Prout. I think we still need to upgrade one of those guys to move forward. The forwards can get by with Saad, Dubinsky, Hartnell, Foligno etc while we wait for Wennberg, Rychel, Milano, Bjorkstrand to develop.
