My Super Bowl 50 winner is the Denver Broncos. I think Peyton Manning will do just enough to edge the Panthers. He will ride off into the sunset as a winner, just like Elway. I didn't think Denver would beat New England (but I thought that they had a shot) but the defense is very strong.

I think the Broncos will win, but for different reasons. There is no way the Broncos should have beaten New England, but according to the script it went that way. In all reality the Panthers should kill the Broncos, but it will not happen. Do you think the NFL is going to let their poster boy lose his last game?

This is a bad comment. Do you really think the NFL wanted their poster boy to get blown out by the Seahawks two years ago?

Because the game ended up making points spread history. Vegas made over $10 billion dollars off of the game. That's more than what was made in that whole year by a lot of reputable Fortune 500 companies.

If you do your research the NFL was founded by owners with mafia ties (and still has heirs in the league to this day). Not trying to be a hater, it's true facts.

Super Bowl 50

Carolina 28, Broncos 13 - When this matchup was first determined, a lot of people immediately thought "Carolina's going to wipe the floor with the Broncos." As time has gone on, people have remebered that the Denver defense is #1 in the league.  I'll admit, I watched their game against the Bengals in primetime and it kind of turned me off to the notion that Denver had a dominant defense (because I don't watch Denver a lot).  Even when Cincinnati looked downright overmatched in the second half, I just kinda assumed it was because A.J. McCarron was playing QB and not Red Dalton.  The New England game changed all that.  Von Miller looked downright unstoppable (although the Pats' O-Line isn't anywhere close to elite), the defensive linemen were consistently getting to Brady, and the secondary shut down Amendola and Edelman.

With all that being said, I think that the Panthers have one of the top 5 QBs in the NFL in Cam Newton.  Their running game is light years better than New England's (Jonathan Stewart vs. James White), so Denver can't be consistently playing pass all game.  And the Denver secondary is now banged up.  Their two starting safeties going down coincided with the second half comeback from New England.  The Broncos' run game got nothing going against either of the two teams I saw them play against (Cincy and New England), Demaryius Thomas hasn't seemed to be his other-worldly self lately, and, let's be honest, the Broncos have a noodle arm of a QB.  Oh, and the Panthers' defense isn't too shabby either.

This won't be the massacre that people initially tabbed it to be (including myself), but it will be a relatively comfortable win for Carolina.  Peyton will struggle, and Newton will make both some mistakes and incredible plays.  The Broncos defense will stifle the Carolina offense about as much as anyone has this season, but it still won't be enough.
