Larry, yes. The home uniform is not the current home just with yellow added. It very similar to other ones.

Faux backs will have the same current font but in retro colors.

Yellow 'D' on the home cap. Faux back will fit the color scheme of that look.

Sodboy, I didn't want to compare the dbacks to the clippers, since the clippers are far worse, but these uniforms are unique. I'm not sure what they will look like in real life. The art I've seen is flat, it's either gonna translate very well, subtle yet modern or horrible mess.

I don't like the subtle yet modern part nor the horrible mess one so I guess I'll hate these. The way you're saying it, it seems like there will be some weird texture/effect in there.

Sounds somewhat similar to the current TCU football uniforms, maybe? I hope not, because that absolutely sounds like a horrible mess.

Arizona getting rid or sedona red and sand is ridiculous, the colors represent zona perfectly, they should just put the A logo from the black jersey on the white jersey and on the red jersey, that would be 3 nice jerseys imo

Thats the problem. There's enough :censored:ty drab depressing brick red, sand, and black hues around the Phoenix area as it is. I think we can let the baseball team have a little bit of vibrance.

It sounds to me like the Padres home uniforms will have the word "Padres" on the front in the font that the road uniforms currently use, in blue with a yellow outline. Sounds good to me, but I wish they would incorporate yellow on the road and alt uniforms.

What stinks about that new Padre logo is that it eliminates the hidden "P" in the logo.

It doesn't eliminate it, it just gets soaked up on the D and around the scripts.

I think you're reading something into it that's not there. If they wanted to include a P they would have changed where the lines overlap.

It's the difference between the arrow and spoon in the FedEx logo. One is a deliberate wink to the viewer, the other is inadvertent and not really there unless you squint and back up.

I like the TC cap for the Twins, and the DC cap for the Nats. The US capital hasn't legally been "Washington" since 1871. It's just "District of Columbia."

But they aren't the "DC Nationals". So no "DC" cap logo is appropriate. As long as the locality name is "Washington", then the cap logo should be a W.

Isn't this line of thinking rather facile? As erstwhile board superstar BallWonk was fond of pointing out, there is no legal incorporated City of Washington, just the District of Columbia which is informally called "Washington, D.C.," so there would be nothing wrong with the DC monogram.

Again, the status of the name "Washington" is irrelevant; what matters is that it's in the team's name. That's the reason for a W hat.

If the team were called the "D.C. Nationals", then the cap should have DC. If it were called the "Capital Nationals", then the cap should have a C. If it were called the "Arlington Nationals", then the cap should have an A. If it were called the "Northern Virginia Nationals", then the cap should have NV. And so forth.

The team's cap should reflect the team's actual name. A straightforward concept.

Nah, not really. DC would be fine. The team wouldn't have been called any of those things anyway.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
