They looks much better in game action! http://m.mlb.com/video/v546232783/atlphi-franco-makes-it-71-with-a-threerun-shot/?game_pk=469442 99% of the time, red and blue shouldn't touch. The outline of everything in blue looks disgusting to me and just adds to the cartoony feel of the numbers. I"m not really sure how I'd pull off a red jersey for them. Actually, yes I am - I wouldn't. 5 minutes ago, Gothamite said: The Yankees are in the perfect position to make demands. I just wish other teams cared enough to do it. Seriously. When you're writing the checks you call the shots. I assume the payment is compensation for not letting Majestic advertise on their sleeve like they do on everyone else's. Good for the Yankees. For as brand conscious as the Phillies are, I'm disappointed that they care so little about their actual on-field representation and wish they acted more like the Yankees.
Silent Wind of Doom 851 Posted March 5, 2016 I dunno. I look at both those uniforms and they don't look the same to me. Maybe it's because the Phillies have the Phillies logo on all of their uniforms and it looks pretty much the same. Red everywhere. When I look at that uniform, I don't see what I see with a lot of color-on-color uniforms, which is an outline on a solid color. I see their wordmark on a background that happens to be the same color. Atlanta, on the other hand, always has red text, and their navy uniform with navy text just looks like a cheap white outline was applied. Maybe it's just conditioning from the Phillies identity, but theirs just looks better quality. I suppose that's a commendation on their branding and consistency. And how did I forget the Cubs when listing pinstriped teams? While I think the Mets are the second best look in the sport, the Cubs uniforms are probably more iconic, although they don't have as long an uninterrupted history or market them as much as the Yankees do.
MNtwins3 322 Posted March 5, 2016 Jason Bourgeois of the Diamondbacks is wearing high pants (so no gradient on pants) and black socks with 2 red stripes in their game vs the Dodgers today

All of the flourishes and decorations all over that jersey, and they've still got another one we didn't know the whole time? I like sock stripes, but there's such a thing as too much of a good thing.
WSU151 10,078 Posted March 5, 2016 The Diamondbacks might have some of the worst unis in the history of the league. I can't find one redeeming feature about the charcoal, the bloody pants, the 3/4 length pants stripe, the diamonds everywhere, etc.
FiddySicks 11,354 Posted March 5, 2016 Oh yeah, that new D Backs set is absolutely atrocious. It's even worse on the field than I expected. It's such an absolute jumbled mess, yet there still is almost zero contrast in the whole set. It's actually impressive how terrible it is.
insert name 5,174 Posted March 6, 2016 Watching that D-Backs/Dodgers game and even my friends saw how bad the uniforms looked. I like the new font and bringing back the snake head but everything else needs to go.
HighCheese 225 Posted March 6, 2016 I doubt the dbacks will wear the road grey jerseys much this season. They'll opt for the alts

They totally flipped the bird to MLB classiness. They look like the mother:censored:er who shows up at the gym bragging about the $1200 of "advanced technology" clothing he's wearing. Both this guy and the D-Backs end up looking like absolute douchebags...

DiePerske 2,115 Posted March 6, 2016 I like the darker grey on the set. Gives us a variety of grey in baseball, which i like. Besides that, ehh
jrodsep 567 Posted March 6, 2016 Besides the Throwback Thursday uniform, the only other "good" thing about the set is the snakehead. My guess is that they will change back to those uniforms by 2019.
DNAsports 6,152 Posted March 6, 2016 Cardinals Spring Training hat looks great. I'd love to see it blue with a red bill.

Good thing I snagged an authentic cool base for $99 at the team shop a while back! Also, I am still half-convinced the Braves will do a slight rebrand when they move to SunTrust next year.
BBTV 20,906 Posted March 7, 2016 Speaking of how there's a variety of grays now (though not as much as back when each team was "tinted"), does anyone other than UA manufacture heather gray uniforms? It may look bad on GimmickBase material, but on double-knit it is awesome.
MNtwins3 322 Posted March 7, 2016 Does anyone know what the Rockies black vest Hersey will look like with flex base?
