Not at all a fan of the crown on the hat, though. Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse." I might launch a debate here, but I think the league should outlaw alternates in the World Series if not all of the postseason. Also, you shouldn't wear an alternate on Opening Day, Rays. Im personally a fan of having alternates restrained to daytime games and Friday nights during the regular season, and not at all in the post season. I prefer white/gray to be the default, but some alternate uniforms just look objectively beautiful. It was very difficult last fall to argue that they should be banned from postseason when the Astros looked so friggin' good. I really had a major breakthrough this winter when the Spring Training uniforms were released and the Yankees' one was so clean and beautiful that... Just like there are also bad white and gray unis there are bad alternates. So I don't mind that they exist. But I do believe they shouldn't be worn on Opening Day. With 162 games, though, I certainly feel there is room for some use of alts. And I do like some. Seeing the A's wear a solid green jersey on occasion can add some color, if you will, to the season. That said, I feel that MLB is all about tradition and I'd really rather see primaries in the postseason. If it were up to me, we'd have rigid rules: One alternate jersey. Limit of 16 games per team to wear an alt (i.e., 10%) Home team's choice. That is, if the home team wears an alt, the road team cannot. No color vs. color. I have been to a navy-vs-navy MLB game and it was terrible to look at. I know it's not basketball, but there really is no reason that should ever happen. And red vs. navy may not be as bad, but I'd rather not even draw the line. No alternates in the postseason. Red/white/blue bunting and white and gray uniforms.
