I was just wondering if anyone know where to get some of these throwback jerseys(retail). I wanted the gray 1986 Mets one but the Majestic site doesn't have it and I called the store at Citi Field and they informed me they wouldn't be carrying it. It's strange how some of the jerseys are available and some are not. I know most of you already know but Majestic is having a major sale on Authentic cool base jerseys. Thanks for any help on that Mets jersey.

The closest to my knowledge that you will find is the '87 version with the script "New York". Custom Throwbacks has the '87 version: http://www.customthrowbackjerseys.com/

This might be a first. Chris Sale was scheduled to start for the White Sox tonight but blew up in the clubhouse and was sent home by the team. The rumour on Twitter is he was mad because the team is wearing throwbacks tonight.

Another source says Sale's anger had to do with collar on the throwback jerseys. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not a joke: Source says Sale blowup was because he didn't want to wear throwbacks, so he cut the jerseys up so no one could wear them.

Allegedly he started cutting up the uniforms:

While I wouldn't go that far (BTW, that's really immature of him), I agree with the sentiment. Those things are downright ghastly, have outstayed their welcome, and the sooner the team demotes them from full-time alternate status, the better.

BTW, the Cardinals are throwing back to 1956 tonight:

That... wordmark... is so... beautiful.  In one image, the Cardinals make me question all previous claims I've made in my head about the current uniform being untouchably perfect.  With the introduction of the St. Louis wordmark, that's twice in a couple years.

WTF? Hey @whitesox I thought tonight was '76 throwbacks???

So they were originally supposed to wear these, before he cut them up:

I don't blame him.

The Cards look great, Dodgers got really lazy tonight however.  They just put B hats on the road alt that was it, they didn't bother to take off the LA patch on the sleeve or bother to replace the helmet logo, it's like someone told them to do something last minute, it's a real mess.

Yeah, I think the "Cardinals are untouchable" thing is finally dead, killed by the Cardinals themselves.  That thing is :censored: ing gorgeous.

The pinstripes look a bit odd, but that red cap with the plain red C is absolutely beautiful. That's one of my all-time favorite caps. It's such a shame they insist on adding black to their set. I couldn't agree with you more that the Reds should be the red version of the Dodgers. Simple, classy, iconic.

This is the most wonderfully White Sox-y story ever.

Even after the Cooperstown Collection update (as seen on the mothership), New Era still uses the inaccurate cap logo.

What if instead of being Brooklyn throwbacks,  it was worn to honor this guy's HOF induction
