FiddySicks
I watched San Francisco 2.0 tonight and was surprised to be reminded (weird phrase, I know) that the City of San Francisco is only 46 square miles. No wonder it's become such a tragedy out there.Great documentary. What was once the most charming part of the city (It's size) has also sort of become it's biggest downfall. Because it's so small, it's ALWAYS been damn expensive to live there, but now it's just downright insane. It's gotten so bad that areas in the East Bay that were relatively more affordable are nearly impossible to afford now. , it's even effected the real estate/rental market in Sacramento because people are literally making a 200+ mile commute to and from work every day because it's the only way they can afford to keep a roof over their heads and feed their families. That would've also been a bit problematic considering they were slated to play their first two seasons in Memphis. Interest was so low in supporting a Nashville based team that they actually had to leave Memphis a year earlier than they expected to. It would've been an even bigger debacle to call them the Nashville "whatever"s at that time, and I'm not sure it would've been worth it to rebrand from Memphis/Tennessee to Nashville in only two seasons simply to cater to Memphis. They could have rebranded as a Nashville team when they dropped "Tennessee Oilers," but "Nashville Titans" doesn't sound great either, and for that matter, I'm not sure "Tennessee Titans" is much better, and ugh if only the Houston Oilers had stayed because none of this is ideal and no one cares about the Titans.Yeah but how cumbersome would it have been to change the name of your location three times in a four year span? That's just confusing. Tennessee is probably the best solution (Considering the team is named the Titans) and is definitely the most simple solution. Houston -> Tennessee (Or Memphis) -> Nashville Yeah, I don't like that at all. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) FiddySicks
It's the same style of patch that have been on the World Series ACs for the past four years. It's also been implemented on the last two or three Super Bowl jerseys as well. I honestly think they look great, are a lot more durable, and a lot cleaner than the previous two styles of patches (the patches were fully embroidered from 1995-2003, and then were a double layered felt like material from 04-11) On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Chris062190
The patch on the main page of the Chromaflex website is the WS hat patch. Which in 2012 was the first year they switched to that material as Bucfan noted. Prior to this year, the jersey patches have been twill. Also, does anyone know if the WS hat patches are available for purchase separately? I've always loved how the hat patch was a different variation of the main logo. But I've never seen them available to buy separate from a hat.Almighty, on 23 Oct 2015 - 13:24, said:on chromaflex.com main page is a close up of the 2012 WS patch, but look at this photohttp://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5aNi7btPU54/UztCXr3PDhI/AAAAAAAAAHk/4hwtcwF8a4c/s1600/Buster+Posey+World+Series+San+Francisco+Giants+hHvZPxfEc8Ex.jpgnot the same patch and not plastic but twill. Gothamite
No, I've never seen them for sale separately either.MLB was for a long time hesitant about selling patches at all, out of fear of aiding counterfeiters; that plus the small size (what price point would you put on it?) makes it seem unlikely they would make these available. Best bet is to wait until next year when the loser's caps go on sale and pry one off. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. FiddySicks
I've been looking for a way to buy just the hat patches for years. Even eBay doesn't have them. Bmac
Supposedly Twins players liked the red BP jerseys this year, so a red alternate isn't out of the question. Not sure the TC logo on the front is the best choice though. https://www.behance.net/bmatukewic8043

schtee
I've been to Anaheim. It's a suburb. I've also been to Los Angeles, and I'm not convinced Los Angeles isn't a suburb of itself."Los Angeles Angels" is the best possible name for the team, but it makes more sense for them to stay in Orange County and accommodate their fanbase, which may well be all over southern California but at this point would certainly have to be concentrated in Orange County. I just smile at "the The Angels Angels."Great point, I've lived in L.A. for 6 years and it's just a sprawl of suburbs with no real downtown heart (despite recent efforts) If they had courage they'd adopt "Orange County." schtee
OK, OK, my "O.C" hat may not be great. But I still feel like "Orange County" makes a helluva lot more sense than "Los Angeles." And the TV show proved it's a marketable name. The difference between the Angels' situation and the Jersey Giants/Jets, Arlington Cowboys, Foxborough Patriots, etc. is that there's already a far more successful and popular team using "Los Angeles"Sorry to get off topic from this thread. So Minnesota, please stay in navy. Between the Nats, Cards, Reds, Angels, Rangers, D-backs, and Phillies there are enough teams in red. @aghease
