Pulv!
This will be my first thread so I will surely do something wrong (I apologize also for my incorrect English). Please let me know about the concept .I'm from Torino, in Italy. The city is well known for its industrial past an for its soccer teams, Juventus FC and Torino FC, two of the most winning teams ever in the italian Serie A.I'm starting a series of threads about concepts for sport teams of no really popular sports in Italy, like american football, Hockey or baseball...We have always lacked in a good american football team (from now on if I say football it will be american football). We have just one team based in Torino playing in the Italian Football League (top italian league) and they are called 'Giaguari Torino' (Torino Jaguars). They were founded in 1979 and they won the italian championship in 1991.This is their actual logoThere are also other two minor league teams from nearby townsRivoli BlacksCiriè BlitzAs you can see they don't have really astonishing designs, logos or palettes. Here they really like traditional things! Of course I don't... TORINO BULLS HOME UNIFORM The logo is a simpler version of the city coat of arms. The jumping bull is a symbol of Torino from the moment that 'bull' in italian ('toro') is sort of similar to 'Torino'. Also the colour scheme is taken from the coat of arms. These colours are no new to professional sports in Torino, but they are classics and bold, perfects for a football team. Gray in the palette should be a hint to Torino industrial past. timberwolf
Some things...but first, welcome to the boards! The font doesn't belong on a sports jersey...if you go to concept resources on the concept page (by LMU) you'll find "Fonts by Conrad". There's plenty of great fonts for you to use in numerous packs. Check it out.The colours are good but you need some balance and I feel the grey should be an accent on the gold, not a primary colour. Have a look at some of the teams here in Canada and the States. Some teams have accent colours that are noticeable, but not primary.Add some detail on the helmet (mimic the stripes found on the pants). The bull would be nice looking on the helmet (just make sure it's facing forwards on both sides...Beginners always start somewhere and this is a good place to start. Looking forward to monitoring your process.Great start. looking forward to seeing more.Elaborate. The key to providing good C+C is to elaborate. Your comment isn't bad, but just maybe say one thing he needs to work on something.
Dan O'Mac
So my take: it's a good start. But I think a couple things need to be at least looked at potentially being changed.1) The helmet logo. The shield doesn't work for me, especially when a bull, similar to the Rivoli Blacks logo, would give the helmet a much stronger design.2) The stripes on the lower sides of the jersey. From what I can see, it looks like a parabolic curve starting at the hip bone, going up to the bottom of the rib cage, and then back down to the ass cheek on each side. I'm just not a fan of those stripes.3) The jersey has a very modern set of stripes (see gripe about that in #2), yet the pants have a very traditional pattern. I'd work to either modernize the pants, or make the jersey less modern. I like this.
Pulv!
Thank you for all the good advices, especially for the striping one as I was wondering exactly the same thing. I just want to clarify why the shield is done in that way. It is a simpler version of the city shield and I know that is not really american like logo as I was trying to add an european look to the logo in order not to do copycats. Away and alyternate will follow. My Behance
Pulv!
I've changed something in the home set. I've changed the striping to a more classical one, the font is way bolder and the bull on the helmet is now facing forward. The alternate jersey is ment to be a hint to Torino industrial past in the automotive industry. They used to call Torino 'the grey city' in the '60s so I thought appropriate a full-grey alternate uniform... My Behance
martymcfry
Much better. Much, much better. You should try white as a road jersey, though.I do notice one quirk with the grey jersey. I think you might've been attempting to fill certain parts of the jersey, but you filled the incomplete paths that make the outline of the sweat boxes. Those are supposed to be stroked only and not filled.

timberwolf
The number on the back needs to be bigger and higher up. I name should be a tad bigger too.The new home and away are great! Solid update. Still not sold on the grey design, though.
Pulv!
This is a new update to the alternate uniform. Striping is now more classical and I've added a gear on the shoulder to symbolize the industrial past of the city. My Behance
Pulv!
Here there's a set of logos and the wordmark. I'm quite happy with the shield and the ball one, while the bull one is just a try. My Behance
