As a Nuggets fan I would honestly say Minnesota or Milwaukee, those teams are going to be very exciting to watch for some years to come.

As a Wolves fan, the idea of players going off to greener pastures as soon as they can (and our obvious status as Free Agent Kryptonite) always gives me pause...I remember when the T-Wolves, led by Kevin Love, were the Team of the Future.

That said, the current core gives reason for hope. Wiggins is the real deal and Towns may very well be also. Levine and a few others can fill roles...they could be a low-seed playoff team as early as 2017 and if they somehow stay together, maybe a contender one day.

i remember a recent story about a kid who didn't know which team to cheer for after the sonics left seattle,so he wrote a letter to every team, and the only team to respond were the minnesota timberwolves. if you don't want to do this, just cheer for whatever team is closest to you. or whoever's uniforms you like the best

That's right. I think they sent him a ball autographed by the players (oddly, outdated by a few years).

You don't just pick a team and say, "ok Im a fan of you guys now". I think those people are total frauds

So I get my stabbing knife ready and prepare for war...

As a Wizards fan, I am biased here... but here is why I think the Wizards would be a good team to "join" right now. They are kind of in a "middle ground" right now, so it's unpredictable where they are going to go over the next few seasons. They aren't a shoo-in to make the playoffs (especially with how good the East has been this season), but they aren't a team that is really expected to suck anytime soon. They've won a couple of exciting games this year in the closing seconds. They've got a good mix of players, and a really fun backcourt to watch with John Wall and Bradley Beal. Long story short, they are at a really interesting point where it's really hard to tell what direction they are going to go in (in terms of whether they will succeed), which to me is a little more interesting than just joining a team who you basically know is going to go super-far in the playoffs. And they have fun young players to watch who are going to blossom soon ... as long as they stick around.

I am sure you could say similar things about a lot of other teams, but that's my super-biased opinion about who you should root for.

As I fan of every sport except basketball, I decided to give basketball a shot. I know all the teams but I can't choose a team to follow. So I'm asking you, who should I follow and why?

Me, as a Galician (European Celt and Latin roots people), must to be loyal to my teams. For sure, I grew up watching LA Lakers games on TV. So, I always be a Laker supporter. And, after that, I can enjoy watching T-Mac in Orlando. So, Magic is my 2nd NBA team.

Here is really easy non biased way of picking. Buy a PS4 or Xbox One and NBA 2k, go to play now, hit Square or X button (aka random team) and that is you're new team.

Hahaahahaha, funny and maybe it works. What about loyality? ;)

The Golden State Warriors. Because reasons.

But seriously, pick the Warriors. Steph Curry is basically an admiration black hole. You watch enough of his games, he's going to suck you in eventually, and there's really no way to avoid it. Even light is a Steph Curry fan.

It's true ... though I'm a diehard Jazz fan -- I found myself rooting for Steph Curry throughout the whole game. The Warriors are a FUN team to watch.

I'm going to be salty. I've seen enough Warriors games that the lack of drama is getting old. They always win. If they're down by 1 with a minute to go, they win by 10. Also, Draymond is teetering on the verge of insufferable.

That's to take nothing away from the Warriors. They're an all-time great team. I'm just looking for some drama instead of dominance.  The playoffs will be enlightening, at least to see teams get four cracks at the Warriors.

Enjoy the Clippers then :P

But in all seriousness, I can totally understand that. They're almost boring at times because, while they're so much fun to watch from a physical and team standpoint, the game is already over midway through the third most of the time. I've actually low-key enjoyed the Warriors "slumping" lately, if for nothing more than it at least keeps the game competitive. It's pretty much the sports version of #firstworldproblems, but it does leave a lot of room to get distracted by something else and not pay attention anymore.

This play from the other night is sort of a microcosm of the "problems" with the Warriors and Steph Curry.

Everybody knew it was going in

Even the players on the court don't fake it like it's competitive any longer. It's like every time Steph puts up a shot from distance, it's actually much more of a shock if it doesn't go in. The way they fall asleep mid game can be pretty frustrating at times, too. That's something that would absolutely KILL any other team in the league. Aside from that Lakers game the other day which was just about a perfect storm of them playing the game of their season and the Warriors spending too much time out at the bars the night before, it's NEVER been more than a slight issue for them. Also, it's a really strange thing to see them take criticism, from the media, the coaches, the fans, themselves, ect for having a sloppy game in which they still won by double digits. It's like they're just crushing the rest of the league so much that they have to manufacture "drama" just to have something to talk about that hasn't been stated a million times before. There's only so many times people can say how great this team is. Everyone knows. What more is there to even say at this point?

But Draymond Green is freaking awesome. He's such a huge part of that team's success, and his antics, while grating, are amazing. And that's just kinda how he's built. That's what he's been surrounded by his whole life, and it's what makes him so great. When he was chosen to the ASG this year, CSN had his mom break the news to him on live TV from her home in Michigan. She basically just talked trash to him for the whole five minutes about how his trash talk game wasn't :censored: compared to hers, and he just yapped back at her the entire time. It was like, OF COURSE that's how Draymond Green's mom is. It was wonderful to see.

I wish I hadn't said "Draymond is teetering on insufferable." That's a clown comment. Draymond is a talented player, a critical component of one of the great teams of all time, and has played above his draft standing. He's a clear example of how hard work pays off and we should be glad he's in the league. He's also the one not nice guy (except maybe Bogut and Iguodola) on the Warriors. I'm normally in favor of loudmouths; I reject my earlier statement.

But I do think the Warriors are the perfect storm of amazing drafting, excellent player drafting, and smart coaching that lets players be players. Oh :censored:, the Warriors are the Seahawks of the NBA. I need to write a thinkpiece STAT!
