Established league, plus gives Super Rugby into the US market and money. It was in the works, at the end, 2/3 of the nations got in, the US missed out. I'd Say 3+Canada to make a Japan-Americas Division because it would be easier on the South Africans, Japanese, and Argentines, and yes the Japanese and Argentines must play with the South Africans, if done it would make the J-A Division be as below(US/CAN Names are examples, with regions) One for California, One for anything EAST of Texas in the South and EAST of Indiana in the North, and vice versa Spoiler The McDonald's Super Rugby Japan-Americas Conference Argentina-Jaguares(Campeonato Argentino and Nacional de Clubes) Japan-Sunwolves(Top League) USA New England-Deep South-Industrial East(Ohio-Tristate)-Patriots/Stars(Potential PRO Rugby NY/DC/Alanta team) USA Midwest-Rockies-Southwest Pride/Hawks(PRO Rugby Columbus Potential Chicago/Denver/Dallas) USA California Gold/Earthquakes(PRO Rugby California teams) Canada-Caribou/Ice(Future PRO Rugby Canadian team(s)) Each Stadium gets two home games East Coast Stars-New Medaowlands/Mercedes-Benz Stadium/RFK Stadium/Ohio Stadium Mid-American Pride- Soldier Field/Michigan Stadium/Cowboys Stadium/University of Phoenix Stadium California-Pacific Earthquakes-Rose Bowl-CenturyLink Field-O.co Coliseum, Aloha Stadium Canada Caribou-BC Place-Saputo Stadium-Skydome/BMO Field/Investors Group Field US Franchise Areas Example, with active team locations marked in lighter colors of franchise area, NOTE: This is better for team balance and the fifth team will be in the "Mid-American Region" if they put them in the rockies. Btw, for Super Rugby, a actual league is needed, so if this is successful, then this league is the backbone of the US-CAN teams, SANZAR's nations each have a local league, which feeds into "super all-star" teams of sorts that represents that region in Super Rugby, so the west might be very powerful compared to the Plains and East Coast, if done right, NCAA players and PRORugby Players should be the members of these teams. Note-This future League is at least sanctioned by USARugby and World Rugby so don't worry as much
dfwabel
The final city was named after hours on Friday...Denver (or suburb Glendale). https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=985045641563959&id=928089210592936&refid=17&_ft_=top_level_post_id.985045641563959%3Atl_objid.985045641563959 So the five (originally 6) teams are: Columbus ( suburb of Obetz) Denver (suburb of Glendale) Sacramento San Diego San Francisco So the league will deplete funds on travel and worker's compensation while players wont have affordable housing in 4/5 locations with salaries hovering around $30K. I miss in that list NY and LA. These can make a bigger impact for this lovely sport in US.
