The Holland and France designs are nice enough on their own merits, but COME ON. Even if everyone is going to be templated the same with sleeve pinstripes, the US doesn't have exclusivity to at least the contrasting red and blue sleeves on the black kit? A lot of these Nike designs are not bad, but there is literally zero effort and creativity from Nike. This is paint by numbers at its finest. At least give some teams a custom stripe or chest graphic.

Are we going back to pre 1994? Everyone uses the same 1 or 2 kits between World Cups then Nike and adidas roll out individualized looks for Russia? These are pretty sad efforts across the board.

This design works a lot bettter for France than the US, but still your point stands.

Also, France should just never change designs from 2014

it would be interesting to see what made nike switch brand philosophy so suddenly from custom kits with individual identites for the bigger teams to pre-2004 templates for everyone.

Now ow that I think about it, this seasons use of darker sleeves with side stripes for quite a few teams (PSG, Atletico, Roma, Lille to name a few) kind of hinted to it, but such a drastic change (especially when Adidas is giving good care to its marquee teams) is puzzling

I think the unfortunate thing is that although we all feel strongly about it, the majority of fans will buy a replica shirt regardless of whether it is created from an overused template or not because they either just don't notice or they just want to support their club and that is a higher priority to them than it is to us logo and uniform folk on the boards.

If it was the other way around and fans starting boycotting buying the templated shirts then we would probably see a change in approach from Nike (and others). But for now, there is no real reason for them to.

Congrats Spurs fans, here's you new home kit if the Nike Contract goes through...

Well it won't start until the end of next season, so Nike will have a whole new template by then.

It also coincides with the new stadium opening and the stadium naming rights are still up for grabs. How about Nike Hart Lane?

I disagree fully.  In fact, I haven't ever understood why that shirt is considered to be bad.

Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop!
