FroBroStudio
I wish that MLS teams had more color variety than shades of red and/or blue. To see Toronto and Columbus add blue to their kits is a bit of an overload.
Gothamite
I think this is a pretty good variety. If Columbus would just go back to their rightful yellow, we'd be in great shape. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
mattb6
Still too much blue and red. Only Columbus, Houston, Portland and Orlando are without it, with Columbus and Portland having it on their change kit.
Gothamite
Sure, if you're going to lump three distinct shades of blue into one category, and claim Red Bull is the same as Toronto FC. DG_ThenNowForever
It'd be fun to see a similar graphic for NFL or the NBA. I bet the MLS would look like a double rainbow in comparison. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags

By far, the best kit IMO is NY City away.
upperV03
Colorado opted to wear their away kit in today's match against San Jose, but they are wearing yellow socks instead of the usual blue ones. The interesting thing is that the yellow socks appear to be completely plain and brandless... Here, take a look: I'm not sure why they didn't just wear their primary kits when their would still be plenty of contrast, and plus that is what they wore last season against San Jose. I think it may have something to do with the fact that they've been basically owned by San Jose lately (winless in their last 12 matches, 0-6-6) and may want to change it up a bit. Thats just a guess, though. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.)

I'm pretty sure I saw the Rapids wearing their yellow jerseys when the SJ/COL game actually started earlier. Might this pic be from warmup, perhaps? Those pictures were quite clearly from warmups, as those were the only pictures I could find at the time, but the whole point of my post was to point out the odd sock choice. 4_tattoos
Watching Portland vs Columbus. Seems like a lot of MLS teams are wearing the old (Adidas stripes on sleeves) jerseys today in the highlights they played a little while ago. What's up with that? MLS teams introduce one new jersey a year. The ones introduced this year have the side stripes, while the jerseys carried over from last hear still have the shoulder stripes. I actually prefer the Toronto red uniforms to the Chicago ones. Too much white for the Fire. But they have more claim than TFC if we're going to get into that silly argument. Digby
A couple thoughts from watching several MLS games today (what has gotten into me?!) ... 18 minutes ago, ICTknight said: I actually like the white over powder blue look but not for the Crew. I do agree with this! Assuming it's actually white over powder blue without yellow and red and black all thrown in. But Chicago's away approaches this and it's nice. The Houston black away jerseys are not working for me. The base is fine, but there are too many colors happening: three shades of orange on the V, orange printing on the back, white printing on the front, charcoal stripes, and powder blue trim. And I'm being charitable and not mentioning the Texas flag jock tag. Watching it on the field it looked like a complete mess. Toronto and NYRB both wore their primaries that held over from last year, and I'm glad I did not watch that game, because this looks like a challenge: https://twitter.com/babakganoosh/status/706549840973570048/photo/1 Fan Style ShirtsShowcasing fan-made sports apparel by artists and designers

Those are the city's traditional sporting colours, and they just make sense for a team named after the city and nothing else. The whole red, white, and dark grey thing was a means to capitalize on the "Canada's team" trend, which is no longer accurate. Ironically it's the blue-clad Whitecaps and Impact that will probably ensure that TFC stays primarily red.
