Gothamite
Love the monogram - that's going to look great as a secondary. LA's got some great Art Deco buildings; this has a great vibe. Not sold on the badge overall. I feel like it just And I do miss the red, and the lost opportunity to set up a blue/red rivalry in town. We'll see if this gold is bright enough. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
Berlin Wall
The A has a Minnesota United vibe to it. So the colours will just be black and gold? Was a rapper involved in there? I'm a simple person, I have a pixelated David Beckham as profile photo since 2010.
WideRight
While I like the Art Deco vibe of the monogram, it just feels like a placeholder. As a crest it needs to incorporate more than just the letters in a shield shape. Underwhelmed.
Gothamite
Yeah, that's why I'm not entirely sold on the badge. The individual elements are all good, but it seems to be lacking some sort of unifying element. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. Nyk33
The badge is extremely "meh" to me.I feel like they could have done a lot better with this but at least black & gold is a unique color scheme for MLS (hopefully they don't add red and make it similar to Atlanta United). Digby
So maybe we were a little premature in talking about the black and red thing. Fan Style ShirtsShowcasing fan-made sports apparel by artists and designers
Gothamite
They haven't completely abandoned the red - here's their official color palette. This was designed by Matthew Wolff, who works for Nike but before that was the graphic designer for NYCFC and did some other work around NYC including the logo for the NYCFC supporter group The Third Rail.niceYes, but worth pointing out those are the designer's concepts. Not actual merch. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
TheGiantsFan
I like the idea going on here! The colors and the font are perfectly appropriate for a city like LA, though could have probably improved on the addition of the wing. It's not that bad, though! -kj
I generally like it. I think the thing that's bothering me is that there's so much empty space between the crest outline and the elements inside. Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop! crashcarson15
The “LA” mark is fantastic. Still not 100% sold on how it fits in with the badge, but I think I like it.
raysox
niceYes, but worth pointing out those are the designer's concepts. Not actual merch.Nope, I saw it on the internet, so it must be true! Still, if they released anything like that, it'd sell pretty well.Glad we get confirmation on the wing/City of Angels theme. Ferdinand Cesarano
niceI love the logo. And it passes the most basic test for all logos: it looks great on a cap.It looks as good on a cap as the NYCFC logo looks.
sportstar1212
Loving the "LA" monogram, but agreed with Mockba about the empty space inside the badge. They could have done a better job in that regard, but overall, this is pretty sweet.
