The M wearing a cowboy hat in front of a basketball is clever. The color scheme doesn't work; blue and green are too lush and maritime for ugly old Dallas. And the jersey scripts with radially arched italic serifed letters were horrid.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

The ultimate good logo ruined by bad teams............

The jerseys were generic once they went to blue on the road. They still had some uniqueness to them with the green jerseys and the unique font (I don't care what the other person says). Once they switched to blue, though, their look matched their play---amateurish, barely NBA-level.

Original Grizzlies:

(Incidentally, can someone explain to me how to make the artwork appear on this page as opposed to forcing someone to click a link?)

Right click on the logo on its page and select "Copy Image URL", then in your post paste that link between a starting and ending tags

No because when the Irish came to Ireland and first came in contact with the leprechaun people, they didn't take their land away and force them to move west. Instead, the two groups learned to assimilate peacefully. However, certain tribes of the leprechaun refused to taint the pure blood and moved north into the forests of Ireland, only to be seen rarely, usually at the same time of a rainbows appearance and occasionally at the factories of Lucky Charms.

I like the red-and-green Devils logo and the "stick in rink" is okay, but not a big fan of the "let's look like the Lakers" L.A. Kings look.
I would rather see a "Let's look like the Lakers" look on the Kings than "Let's look like the Raiders" look. I don't dislike black and silver. It does look sharp. However, purple and gold represent royalty and the "Golden State" perfectly. The Blackhawks and Bulls both wear red and black and all Pittsburgh teams wear black and gold(excluding Pens' Vegas).

Internationally, their merch outsells current Memphis merch like 10-1.

Doesn't surprise me. Original was much more distinctive.

This one suffered the same fate

Les Expos. Oh man. The ultimate what could have been team.

I loved that logo even though I never knew what it stood for. I miss things like that in our sports... foreign, different, that don't match cookie cutter looks that homogenize the sports world.

Also, i believe it stands for Expos Montreal Baseball. I could be wrong. But i know it is EMB

Well the lakers switched to purple and gold to match the kings, the owner wanted his teams to have a unified look in the fourm.
