The_Admiral
If I were to pull up pictures of me from 1998, I was probably wearing ugly fleece pullovers with that stupid reflective material in, like, half of them. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
TheLAKnight
Not sure if it means that a change is definitely coming, but the Kings have been offering lots of sales on their current road jersey. During this past home stand (last Saturday and yesterday's games for sure), they offered them at $60 or $75 with customization. Even blank versions of the throwbacks that were worn in warm-ups the past few weeks are $165. I haven't seen any similar discounts for their home jersey. I think the road whites are really sharp. If only a team could go black and purple (as example) under adidas. That would be great ! If you don't need a white, don't have one. Sport
I heard the players hated those mustard Predators jerseys because the two layers felt like wearing multiple jerseys and were heavier than normal. They were the Bizzarro Sharks. There was a lot to take in on those original jerseys, but I always liked them First, I appreciate them for not getting all honky tonk like most would've been tempted to do. Second, they didn't show up and pretend like they've been around since O6 days. They knew who they were and their uniforms reflected that. The edge changeover was one of the worst Edge looks in a sea of bad edge looks.
wildwing64
Metallic colours are fine in small doses. The Preds kind of overdid it with the silver. The application was a bit better on the mustards, not that they had much else going for them. PotD: 24/08/2017
ColeJ
I own a Mike Dunham inaugural Preds white sweater. I love it, but I never really wear it... Because it makes me feel like I'm wearing a Power Rangers Halloween costume. Easily the most gaudy shirt I've ever owned.
BrianLion
Preds logo has always been terrible, That's far more egregious than any of their jersey designs. How they settled on "metallic anime sabretooth tiger" is beyond me.
FiddySicks
I really wish I could've been a fly on the wall of the room where those original Preds sweaters were designed so I could figure out just what the hell was going on there. Like, I just imagine someone saying: "Man, these are so sweet and futuristic looking! People are gonna LOVE these! But, hey, we have a whole bunch of these extra blue triangles left over, any idea what to do with these? If you guys can't think of anything we're just gonna ship them to San Jose... Wait, just put it behind the crest on the home jersey? We can do that?! That's brilliant!" On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Bmac
The navy triangle always made sense to me because the logo is primarily white, so it helps the crest stand out a little. That's not a good problem to have, but I always assumed that was the justification. As we know with the current set, the logo is fine on its own. https://www.behance.net/bmatukewic8043

The Blackhawks announced today they're taking 40% off their road jerseys at their team stores. My guess is that the changeover clearance is starting early with the whites, because they sell slower than the colors. Morgan33
I think the Predators original set is better than what they wear now. Even with the excessive use of silver material, it manages to feel less gaudy than the bright gold homes. I also thought the triangles on the hem were attractive and something a 90's expansion team could really own.
Rollins Man
ill always say the 2011-13 preds was the best. the second they added that dumb stripe to the pants and flipped the colors on the socks and completely ruined the color balance was the end. The originals set is very unique and the colors were great, but ill always take color over dark blue/black, plus i like how they simplified the logo. Also one of my favourites Thing I noticed when I saw one at a sporting store was that it's a navy blue jersey with some sort of thick netting fabric over it. The color of the fabric is standard Preds yellow, but the jersey appears to be a mustard color because the 2 coats of material over one another create that effect. I know it's not your traditional hockey jersey, but I think it looks really cool. A Subban 76 would have looked great, if that jersey was still being used. Morgan33
The Navy layer is what gives it that unfortunate mustard colour. The gold itself is actually not bad, similar to the version used by the Rams. If the under layer was gold, I think they would have been received better. It's another reason why the jerseys look much better up close. The further away they look, the more the layers become muddled.
ColeJ
i dare say, if you were to slap the shoulder logo on the front of the mustard preds, and lose the anime cat, that'd be one of my top 5 favorite jerseys of all time.
M4One
The only thing that really bothered me about the Predators mustard alternate was the collar to allow for the unnecessary word mark. While I like the Predators current colour scheme, I kinda miss the silver. It made for an unique colour scheme that I had never seen before or since. Nothing wrong with an anachronistic jersey if you think it looks good. Interestingly, the Thrashers used the dual-layer fabric with porthole mesh sides for their pre-Edge alternate, too. It's a heavier jersey, but still not as heavy as the Coyotes' originals. Bayne
Am I the only one who gets annoyed everytime I see the Hurricanes jerseys because the logo looks like it needs to be about 10% bigger? Looks too small in my eyes. I'm Danny fkn Heatley, I play for myself. That's what fkn all stars do.
