BBTV
The Eagles would be getting the better of this one, unless both players return to what people once thought they were. But, Peyton gave his guts out to the game he loved, and played great football for nearly 2 decades. A first ballot Hall of Famer, he could get very close to being an unanimous selection. Like Ken Griffey Jr. was (pretty much) in this past Baseball Hall of Fame ballot. Peyton Manning and Charles Woodson I believe will both be there when they are eligible. One of those moments where they were legends in college. Both drafted the same year, retired the same season and will go into the HOF the same year. Has there ever been a time where two legends have done this?

TheRicSlick
It sucks that Mankins had to be in Tampa while the Pats were winning the Super Bowl. What's worse is that the Bucs only won two games that year.

I look forward to a response from our dear friend, EDP445. He's currently doing things like this, so hopefully football news can return him back to proper form. Crabcake
I think that it's appropriate to officially label the Chip Kelly era in Philly as a disaster.
BBTV
eagles are actually taking cap hits just to rid themselves of trash like Murray and the other "kelly guys". Im now even more surprised that they not only kept bradford but overpaid to do it. FiddySicks
Was Bradford really a "Kelly guy", though? Wasn't he just some weird stepping stone so they could get Mariota and they ended up getting stuck with him? Dalcowboyfan92
It's so quickly how a team can quickly change face and shake up their roster. Chip had a such a disastrous controlled demolition, the team is going to have to spend the next year/2 years rebuilding probably.

FiddySicks
It's hilarious hearing all of the Lions fans today who are absolutely insistent that CJ retired because he was worried about his health and is a family man, and that it had nothing to do with playing in Detroit. Now, I'm sure those were a slight factor as to why he retired, but people are fooling themselves if they think being stuck on a franchise that perpetually spins it's wheels like the Lions had no bearing on that decision. It's like the mass exodus the Niners had last year. Every one of those guys retired because of "health concerns", right? Yeah, that's it. It's just a total coincidence that ownership turned them from contenders to an absolute dumpster fire nearly overnight. Going from Jim Harbaugh leading them to Super Bowl shots, to a homeless yes-man couldn't have had any bearing in those choices, right? He went 10-6 and won the division. Not expecting that kind of quick turnaround this time, but in the NFL it's not always necessary to have a multi-year rebuilding program. It's like one of those "can't keep them both" situations. He's also getting up there in age and will likely be too much to afford. As for the possible Eagles' acquisitions... meh. All this potential trade illustrates is that next to CLE, there is no team in the last 15 years who hits "Reset Button" on coaches, management team, and player roster more often then the Miami Dolphins. This time Mike Tannenbaum is the one who hit Reset. I don't even think BUF does it as often as the Dolphins.
BBTV
Eagles sign Leodis McKelvin to 2 year contract worth max of 6M. Plan is to beef up the line through draft and FA, sign Fletcher Cox to a Suh-ish contract, release Mark Sanchez, and bring in a receiver. The defense has talent and should be good in a 4-3 under Jim Schwartz, even if a couple of good players will be out of place. The QB blows but if they are in fact able to boost the line and add a receiver to complement Jordan Matthews (and if he stops dropping every other ball) and Nelson Agular (and he stops hitting his head) then they have a chance to actually be improved from last season. I have to say I'm on board with every move they've made this offseason, other than coach and QB (yeah I get it those are two pretty important people.) I hate the Sam Bradford signing, they can walk away from him after a season.
