Edit - it's also been said that Andy Reid didn't think he could play, and he was a Howie Roseman pick. That was when Reid was losing power and after they failed to get Russell Wilson (who they both agreed they wanted to move up for) Roseman got fixated on Foles.

That he was a Roseman rather than a Reid guy more sense considering he was one of the first people let go by Chip Kelly, who basically did to Roseman what Roseman is doing to him.

You're right, I miss remembered

And as soon as I clicked save on my edited post I was greeted by an ad featuring a woman with her legs behind her head taking a selfie of her vagina.  I think there's some symbolism in there somewhere  but I'm not admiraly enough to tell you what it is.

I'm no internet expert, but aren't many of these Google-based ads fueled by what you've looked at recently?

Just checked, and while there's 30 different attempts to find vines of topless BBWs farting in yoga pants in there, I assure you "pvssy selfie" was not found.

Any time I start to think that his act is anything less than 100% genuine, I'll just re-watch that clip.

Pretty sure I've never searched for a Russian bride on my phone. I always do that on my iPad.

Yeah, these new adds are strange, and considering I'm getting some hot tips on how to shave your pubes, I assume search history isn't that big of a factor.

Per WalterFootball:

4/25: The Giants are conflicted on Leonard Floyd, and he's not expected to be the pick. - Mike Mayock, NFL Network

4/25: "The Giants have had their eyes on Leonard Floyd since before the NFL Combine. He's their primary target at No. 10 overall." - Jordan Raanan, NJ.com

This is why I hate pre-draft speculation.

That's why I tend to ignore these "sources". I'll just wait until the damn thing actually happens.

So the Rams are totally going to nuke two drafts to take a guy who was 14-23 in college and 0-9 career lifetime again in-state Conference rivals (and Cal's defense being absolute :censored: doesn't fully excuse that if you see Cal's offensive output in many of those losses....especially since they run an air raid knockoff.)  who played in a system that is completely different from what the Rams run now (or will ever run since they don't have anything close to the personnel necessary to run it.)

Look, I hate to be "that guy" but I suspect Wentz would have had an easier transition to Fisherball and, despite the lower level of talent in FCS, the dude led his team  to two National Championships (as opposed to the piddling 3rd-tier Bowl Goff finally led Cal to last season.)

But the Rams are the Rams and hooo baby we're going to do the incredibly stupid thing.

(P.S. Watch Gurley get hurt in the pre-season)

Please Dallas get Ramsey...or Elliot.

Cleveland is rumoring to be looking for a dancing partner for the 8th pick in the Draft for those teams really wanting to draft Elliott. He's not getting anywhere near that pick. I really think that Elliott will be the pick the more I think about it.

Ramsey's probably going to San Diego, and I still think Dallas is lukewarm on the Joey Bosa idea. Jerry likes to make splashes in the Draft, and nabbing Elliott at #4 would be a splash. Of course, you're going to see comparisons to Trent Richardson as Trent was the last high-pick RB (and he flamed out big-time). Dallas has the monster offensive line, and having a good running game like in 2014, would put a metric ton of pressure off Tony Romo. It'll hopefully prevent him from taking another collarbone injury since he wouldn't have to consistently throw and/or stand in the pocket and take a "duck sack".

It's going to be Ramsey or Zeke. If Ramsey is there, that's who the Cowboys are taking. If he's gone, they're taking Zeke. Obviously I don't know for sure, but after reading all of the pre-draft speculation that's what I think will happen.

Cowboys - Lakers - LAFC - USMNT - LA Rams - LA Kings - NUFC

Eagles apparently legit don't want to trade Bradford, and want him (at $25M), Chase Daniel (at $7M), and Wentz (at whatever) on the roster this year.  Don't really get it, unless they really think they have a shot at something this season, which despite their great offseason, they don't.

I don't get Bradford - never has anyone accomplished less, been paid more, and had more apologists and excuses made for him.  If they could con some team in to giving them a #2 or even a #3, I'd eat the $5 they've already paid him, take the cap hit, and move on.

About the ads mentioned earlier in this thread, I get San Diego Padres ticket ads on the Seattle Times page because I also read about the Chargers, so it's somehow in my history that "hey, this guy likes the Chargers, let's try to sell him Padres tickets no matter what page he's on"

As for the draft, I used to watch it religiously, but have stopped in the last few years, just have no interest. I may check the next day or when the whole thing is done to see who my team selected, and if any Washington Huskies were selected, but now I just don't care. Never heard of this Wentz guy until a week or so ago.

Looks like Myles Jack is getting requests from teams to sign an injury waiver.  Reggie Ragland was flagged for an enlarged aorta so his stock is dropping last minute as well.

I hate to do this, but Carson Wentz wrote a piece for The Players Tribune and it is as every bit cliché and formulaic as you would expect from a crappy HS "hype video".

It's awful!

Here is the beginning:

Quote

You don’t get through winters with an average temperature of 12.8° without being a certain kind of tough — the cracked-skin-dried-blood kind of tough.

That toughness comes in handy in a place like North Dakota. You see, up there, jamming your numb fingers against someone’s ice-cold helmet happens every practice. Getting decked on the cement-like dirt is just how a play ends.

And here’s the thing: I love it.

Because in North Dakota, we don’t care for flash or dazzle. That’s not our game. We don’t do things the fanciest way. We do them the right way.

Going through the draft process, you find yourself answering a lot of the same questions over and over. I get it. This is basically a very long, very public job interview. But the question that seems to come up the most is one that almost makes me laugh at this point:

Carson, coming from North Dakota, are you worried about playing against tougher competition in the NFL?

There’s this belief that I’m at some sort of disadvantage coming into the league because of where I’m from. But if you get to know me, you’ll understand that being from North Dakota isn’t a disadvantage. Not even close. In fact, having been raised in North Dakota is probably one of my greatest strengths.

Oh, Carson, you played your home games inside a convention center.
