If Hester can't find another team and decides to retire (33 yrs old coming off toe surgery), is he HOF worthy?

IMO, maybe someday. But it will be tough. He is a specialist and not too many specialists are in the HOF. Jan Stenerud is the only kicker that didn't play another position in the HOF and Ray Guy just became the first punter. Hester will be in but I think it will take a few years.

I don't think so no.  A specialty guy like Steve Tasker reached the semi finals or whatever of the balloting once, & that's it.

Having said that, I do think there should be more kickers & maybe punters in the HOF.  Hester is a WR who happened to return kicks.

Interesting question and after thinking about it a little bit I say yes. Football is a game of specialists. Deacon Jones was a terrible Quarterback, but a great defensive lineman. Jerry Rice was a bad linebacker and the best WR of all. Hester is most definitely the best kick returner in NFL history, the records show that, kicking game is a part of the sport and guys who excel at it should be recognized, so why does he have to also be good at a different position? Why is there a different standard for them? If we have the best punter and the best field goal kicker then you should have the best kick returner as well. On top of that the PFHoF is the easiest hall of fame to get into so it's not like Hester's inclusion is going to devalue anyone else.

This video is interesting.

Looks like the head on the left definitely moves less. I don't know how these helmets work, but I'm all for anything that reduces head trauma in football.

Hester was actually a DB. That's why he wore the number 23 while with the Bears. He eventually switched to offense in an attempt to utilize his incredible talent when he had the ball in open space.

I think he's a HOFer because he's the best kick and punt returner the league has ever seen.

Nick Foles is granted release by the Rams. If the Jets can't figure out what's going on with Fitzpatrick, I'd say they give Foles a shot. Or maybe Foles takes a trip north of the border to the CFL?

I think we'll see Fitzpatrick cave shortly. He's on borrowed time and really has no other options that don't require a fight for the job.

I know this is old news but I'll post it anyway. In spirit of training camps opening for NFL teams, I was in the mood to watch an old Seahawks game. I come to find out that the NFL has pulled games from YouTube as part of a new deal between the two. It sucks but fine, I understand it. I also read tha, starting in August, the NFL will be streaming 96 classic games (3 for each team, if I understand correctly). I look at the games for the Seahawks and it's games are from 2013 and 2014. Really? It's frustrating to know that the NFL refuses to recognize the franchise has history that dates before 2012. I'm sorry but I should be able to nostalgically suffer through the Rick Mirer years if I choose to do so!

Bears 1st round 9th overall pick Leonard Floyd left the first day of practice within the first hour on a goddamn cart.

BRB, I'm going to blow my head off.

I'm betting you're not one of the proud & unique 12th men who walked out early on the 2014 NFC Championship game against the Packers.

No I am not. I even endured last year's playoff game 1st half beatdown given by the Panthers.

Apparently it was heat related, not for an injury.

Kyle Long messed his calf up and was in a boot also.  The gun is still in my mouth.

Fitzpatrick resigns with the Jets 1 year $12 million.  The thought of Geno Smith at QB this season was just too much to bear.

I for one like the signing.

I'm not entirely sold on Geno and I think Fitz is the better option right now.

At this point Nick Foles is a backup QB, a good backup QB. The teams, who I think, should take a look at Nick Foles are:

Chicago Bears (Cutler Insurance)

Miami Dolphins (Give Tannehill a push)

San Francisco 49ers (yes I know that only adds fuel to the dumpster fire)

Kansas City Chiefs (connection to Andy Reid)

New Orleans Saints (Sit behind Brees for a few years)

Nick Foles is Jared Leto's Joker at this point, complete with the word "damaged" tattooed on his forehead.
