I happen to really like the number font.

Oklahoma State has had the Chrome Cowboy helmets for at least 2-3 years now. Why are we acting like they just released them? They'd be much better at a normal size and chrome-free.

I also think for helmets the OSU lettering thing is far superior

I was kind of wondering the same thing but I suppose it's fair to critique them. The chrome was used for the photoshoot to be more flashy but the other helmets will still be in the rotation. They wore chrome helmets 4 times last season. I expect a similar ratio going forward.

  • The orange/chrome helmet debuted against Texas Tech in 2014. It was also worn against Texas and Washington that season, and against Texas and Baylor in 2015.
  • The white/chrome helmet debuted against Texas Tech in 2015.
  • The black/chrome helmet debuted against TCU in 2015.

From what I know, most Oklahoma State fans (myself included) prefer the OSU brand logo on the helmet. The white helmet with the black OSU brand logo and facemask that I posted above is probably the most well-received of the bunch. I like Pete on the helmet as an alternate but I'm not crazy about the oversized Pete logos.

I wouldn't be surprised if the equipment manager has a new helmet or two thrown in to the mix for the upcoming season. He does a lot of mixing-and-matching between the shells, facemasks, and logos. That's ultimately how the black/chrome helmet was born.

Here are a couple more examples that never saw the field.

Say what you want about the new jerseys but I really like them. yeah they might be "Built for the Now" according to you guys but they are unique and work well for Oklahoma state.

I have to take back most of what I said. While this isn't a bad uniform, it's a serious downgrade from their previous uniforms. I looked back at the official release a few years back from OSU's new uniforms and it looks so clean. It seems this is just part of Bikes new weird urge to add in detailed collaring to every new team they design. I sincerely miss their old sleeve and pants designs. *sigh* Guess they'll just be a new template for High school teams to use

Love this look but why not have the pant and helmet stripe be the same? Strange.

The pants/helmet stripe discrepancy is a minor nitpick, but all in all...I love how Tulane is finally back in dark green and light blue!!

Tulane:  What I don't get are the helmet stripes and the sleeve stripes on the green jersey/helmet.  Why are there green stripes on the sleeves?

Man.  So close.  Better than last year.  But odd choices that could have been solved within tenths of seconds.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

Tulane looks so good I can look past the striping inconsistences. Dark green, bright aqua and white are the only colors they need, STOP with the grey. The color scheme is one of the best in all sports, and I love the new bright aqua Jersey.

The chrome Georgia state helmet actually looks pretty good. I think they need to stop using black and be a primarily blue team, while still using lots of white with plenty of red detailing. Their normal blue helmet finish they had looked great.

Yeah, I agree with this. Tulane's unique color scheme works because of how well the dark green makes the light blue pop. It works best on white. Grey muddies up the look.
